I have been looking for a pen that lives up to their word on being waterproof…. These don’t smudge, haven’t bleed through, and has a great array of sizes… they write nice and feel fluid…. It was sweet surprise when I took them out of the box that they were in a case that rolls up and snaps…. Great value!

This is a great set of permanent markers for the price. Compared to micron pens, these are about the same in terms of color. Except that you get more pens in this kit then with the others.I love that it comes in a foldable case, it makes it easy to carry. There’s a great variety in pen tip sizes with a brush pen.I use these with watercolors as they are alcohol pens, and won’t be affected by the water in watercolors.Overall, this is a great gift for an artist, at this price.

I'm really impressed with the pens in this set! I like the variety of sizes, and the case is very handy!QUALITYThe pens are a very nice quality. I use other name-brand fineliners for watercolor painting, and I think this brand is just as good as Sakura brand.The ink flows perfectly with no skipping or blotching. The ink also dries very quickly and so far, I've had no smudging if my hand accidentally runs over the ink.I've only just started using the pens - mostly using the .05 and .1 pens - and I use them a LOT. They have not dried out yet - still plenty of ink.I really love the canvas storage case that comes with these pens! Even after the pens dry out, I'll be able to use the case indefinitely.FUNCTIONI use the pens after painting to add accents to the design. The ink works very well over watercolor paint. If I end up touching up the paint after inking, the ink doesn't smear or bleed at all - I like that.I also use the pens for zentangle drawings - they work well for that.While I definitely use some of the sizes more than others, it's nice to have such a wide variety to choose from.I do wish there were two of the more common size pens (the .05 and .1), as I think they are the sizes most people use for watercolor embellishments. But this is just a personal preference.Overall, I think this is a high-quality set - especially at $19.99! I highly recommend this set.

These are wonderful pens. They are smooth and the ink flow is perfect. The case is a very nice touch and very much appreciated! They ARE waterproof, but not right away -- they need a couple hours to fully "set". Great set for art, journaling, design, anything! Very pleased.

My wife does not use these pens for calligraphy, so we can't speak to their ability in that regard, however she is quite happy with them for journaling and sketching. She has used a variety of them to draw or embellish her watercolor art and said they have worked wonderfully. She was pleasantly surprised to recieve them in the handy carrying case and is excited to get to try all the various sizes in her sketchbook. She would absolutely recommend this set and already bought an extra set for our daughter for Christmas!

I ordered the KEMYR Micro Pens Fineliner Drawing Pens,Calligraphy Pens: 22 Size Waterproof Archival Pigment Black Ink Pens For Art Watercolor,Sketching,Anime,Manga,Writing,Hand Lettering,JournalingThis is an awesome set.I love that it has such a large variety of pens in it. great for versatility.The pens are smooth and write well.I also really love the case!Its great for easily taking anywhere and it rolls up to a nice small size. Even when these pens run out I can still use the case which is nice.I did do a test with a wet finger and there was some color that rubbed onto the paper leaving a grayed tint around the lines but it wasn't too bad.Only other critique is I wish there was a flap on the holder that folded over the top of the pens so that when you rolled the holder up the pens weren't exposed. I'm sure they wont fall out but it would be nice to have something there just incase.Overall great set that I'm really happy with!

I was able to draw successfully with these micro pens. However, after the brief sketch had dried for fifteen minutes, I quickly determined that these pens were not waterproof, as stated in the product description and on the box. I dampened a paper towel with several squirts of water from a squirt bottle. I then ran the toweling across the drawing. As you can see in the photograph, quite a bit of ink is transferred to the paper towel. The ink did not smear on the drawing. I planned on using these pens with ink and wash watercolor paintings. This is no longer possible as I do not trust the ink not to bleed when I add watercolor to the drawing. I did appreciate the fact that the set arrived in a nice case and had a wide range of nib sizes.Note: I retested the ink on my drawing 24 hours later, and no ink came off when rubbed with a wet paper towel. I am therefore adjusting this review to reflect that it is waterproof but not fast-drying. In the end, I like these pens and am glad that I will be able to use them with watercolor paints. I must be more patient in the future.
