Great evening ambiance setter
I really like this bulb. I try to avoid blue light later in the evening and when I get up in the middle of the night for a couple hours of work. This bulb does not have a high light output, it's not suitable for illuminating an office work-space during a typical work day. Also note that the 25 watt rating appears to be at 130V, based on product labeling. I think they get the "long bulb life" rating because they are planning for it to be powered by 120V. This also means that the filament runs a little cooler, slightly toward the red end of the light spectrum. So that combined with the amber globe color make for a wonderfully pleasing, relaxing evening illumination. I've put my bulb on a timer so it turns on every evening for the last hour before sleep.

These bulbs brightened my nights
I use three 25 watt amber bulbs in my outdoor lamp posts. They give a soft glow and a mysterious appearance with enough light to illuminate the area. I originally wanted yellow bulbs to act as a bug light and moth deterrent. I haven't seen any bugs or moths on the lamps yet.

I use these on my street exterior street light for the Halloween season .. they cast the perfect glow of autumn amber .. highly recommended

Came As Ordered
Not much you can say about light bulbs. Got what I ordered promptly and in good condition. Interesting that Lowes, Home Depot and none of the local lighting shops had the amber candelabra base bulbs.

Just what I was looking for. I bought these to soften the light on my salt lamp and they were perfect. Give a soft peach/orange glow through the lighter white parts of the salt and make the pink parts in the salt pop more than a regular lightbulb did. I don't notice an odor as others have mentioned. I took 1 star off because it has trouble staying lit on the lower settings of the dimmer.

not normal base size, not clear in the sale page.
Maybe I'm just dumb, but I thought these were full size. They have the small bottoms, that don't fit hardly anything including my chandelier I wanted them for..
