Only Murders in The Building Game

Being a huge fan of the show, my family got this game going off the name alone. No reviews were available, so I hope this one will help. First and foremost, we all thought the instructions were confusing. We had to reread them multiple times to even somewhat understand the game. No, the game is not difficult, we just found the instructions rather poorly written and not succinct. This is a team game, meaning you work together to win, versus against each other. There are lots of little rules and nuances that need to be remembered during gameplay, and they are easy to forget in the beginning. Each "round" has different acts to do. You talk as group to hatch a plan at the start of each round, and then you're supposed to play the rest of that round in silence with one allowance made. Once you search a couple of the apartments for clues, you pretty much know who the murderer is. The game is pretty quick, and sadly, pretty lackluster. It's such a phenomenal show, it deserved a better game.
