Just get it
I got it for a friend who travels alot. She loves it for the plane rides and she used it once in Boston during a crazy downpour. She didnt say it was waterproof, but she was glad to have it as a cover. I just ordered myself one!!!

Really impressive for its size
So I am quite impressed with the Matador blanket…it's pretty nearly exactly what I hoped it would be. The first, and most obvious, thing about it is its packed size…it folds up into a pouch the size of a deck of playing cards or a wallet…it's easily small enough to fit into a pants pocket. But when folded out, it's actually pretty large. I would say that it allows two people to comfortably sit…four people might fit, but things might get a bit tight. If you need to accommodate more than three people, I think it's best to get the larger model. I mostly use mine at outdoor concerts…on lawns that are often damp…even after two or three days after a rain…and so I know the blanket is water resistant because nearly every time I use mine, I notice a concert neighbor, someone who's sitting on an ordinary blanket, stand up to reveal his/her shorts are soaking wet…whereas mine are always dry. One of the things that I was really impressed with are the little spikes that come with the blanket that allow you to anchor it into ground. They actually work great…much better than I expected they would. What's especially nice is that they're all attached to the blanket by little nylon bungee cords…they're not going to get lost…and they're made out of enameled metal…so they're actually quite strong for their size. There are lines on the blanket which show you how to fold it up…these can be a bit tough to see in the dark (at least for the color of blanket I have)…but I was always able to see them. About the only issue I had…and it's more of a "duh" moment on my part…was how to put the folded blanket back into the pouch. For anyone as confused as I was, the pouch behaves like an inside-out sock when the blanket is outside of it. What you wanna do is pull the pouch up from the bottom like you were putting a foot into an inside-out sock…hopefully that makes some kind of sense. Another warning is that this ins't some kind of warming blanket…it's more of a barrier to the elements. When I go to concerts, I also bring a small fuzzy blanket with me to put on top of the Matador. The fuzzy blanket is for comfort…the Matador is to keep dirt, sand, water, away…and it does that very nicely indeed.

Great product and versatile
The Matador pocket blanket is a great piece of equipment for outdoor activities. It folds up easily and is very compact. It has a lot of great features and it expands to a size that is useful for a variety of purposes. I have tested the Matador pocket blanket as an improvised emergency shelter, an improvised bag to carry bushcraft gear, a windbreak, an improvised tourniquet, and an improvised sling for a simulated arm injury. I would definitely recommend that everyone add a Matador pocket blanket as a part of your everyday carry and your bug-out bag kit. I would definitely like to get several more of these. My only recommendation to the company would be to make the material just a little thicker or change to the material used to make a US GI Poncho.

Awesome picnic blanket in your pocket
Great little blanket to sit on the grass that tucks away into a pocket size pouch. There is a stitched pattern to help you fold it the right way so it packs into the pouch. Pouch has a great little connector to the blanket so you don't loose the pouch. I keep this in my travel bag for impromptu times I sit on the grass/beach or maybe to eat.

Buy this!!!
I would buy this again. It has a diagram to help fold it printed on blanket and the pouch attached to blanket. I was able to easily repack. This is extremely functional. It's made of tent like material that's just soft enough but still water resistant. It's thin like tent material. I have the 2-4 person version. This will allow 4 people to sit butt to butt and two people comfortably.

10/10 buy
Definitely a handy lil thing! Over the summer i brought it with me to the beach and only had a small bag that could barely fit my towel but it’s so compact that it made it easy to carry along. The weather was supposed to be clear but it drizzled that day, luckily the water just slid right off (along with the sand). Not really sure what material it’s made of but it definitely felt soft to the touch and is surprisingly durable as i had a small stick poking me in the back at one point while i while i was laying on it, which i thought had poked a hole in it but had no damage at all.

A convenient travel accessory
Bought this for a music festival and international trip. I compared to a less expensive travel blanket that claimed to be fully waterproof. I filled both with water like balloons, and the water in the cheaper blanket immediately began to drip through the fabric. The Matador blanket did allow water to permeate, but it took some time for droplets to form on the dry side. This is sufficient for me. I haven't tried the blanket on wet ground, but I suspect it'll do a fairly decent job of staying dry. I did use the blanket as a makeshift poncho during a rain storm, however, and it worked. Pros: very water resistant (though not waterproof); very small and light; built-in stakes are convenient Con: fabric doesn't like to fold neatly—can be a bit of a challenge to fold back into its pouch if you're in a rush

If size matters to you, choose this one.
Why did you pick this product vs others?: This is such a handy thing to have whether your travels take you outdoors where conditions can be unpredictable, the city where things can be wet or messy or maybe you just want to know that where you sit it’s clean like on a bus or airplane seat, this compact easy to take anywhere travel or everyday blanket is a lifesaver. Folds up neatly and easily to fit back in it’s pouch which you can clip to your bag, purse or even a belt loop.

Stress Free Ground Cover
This has come in handy so many times this summer. The size makes it so easy to throw in your pocket, leave in the car or even your bag. The attached corner stakes are the cherry on top as no matter the wind it will stay down as you soak up the rays or take off to play. *Do be careful with sitting on it wet with sunscreen, as i now have some oil stains on it that i tried to use dish soap to get out, but to no avail.

Very bad quality
I expected some decent quality for a price of 35 EUR. What came to me had a very bad stitches. Disappointed.

Lives in my sling bag, comes out at every picnic
I carry this blanket everywhere. It packs down so small that it just lives in my sling bag permanently, and I barely notice the weight. What I like most after a season of real use: the stitched fold lines actually work. The pouch is sewn onto the blanket itself, so there is nothing to lose. The stakes are great too. By the water, the blanket stays put instead of flapping around or flying away. I use it for picnics and for swimming trips, and it handles both well. It dries fast and shakes clean easily.
