Rubber compression allows easy adjustment
Easy install. I like that the compression connection makes pipe adjustment easy. Perhaps this could Ben be replaced in a cement slab in the far future..

Works somewhat, but don't think it gets all the hair
Looks good. I have very thick curly, prone to frizzy hair. Whenever I shower and wash and condition my hair, I get handfuls of hair. Never bothered me because it's so thick. What I see on this drain, I believe is maybe 1/2+a bit of the hair that falls out. The holes are large.I will say it fit PERFECTLY over my drain but I may dry an easy plastic thing over it to see if I capture more hair.

Finish not so great
So install was super easy and it fit the shower pan we picked out perfectly. However the finish on cover didn't even last 6 months. I hate to spend more money for another snap on cover to have it wear off just the same. Disappointed.

Does not catch hair
There isn't anything wrong with it, per se, and my contractor didn't have any trouble installing it. It looks perfectly fine installed. It will not catch hair, however, due to enormous holes. So if anyone in your house has long-ish hair, you'll need another drain catch over it to catch the hair.

I had issues with the Gasket
I test installed this on a scrap piece of 2" PVC and the gasket is very soft. I had difficulty just sliding the gasket itself over the pipe. When I removed the gasket it left a black residue on the pipe which tells me it is very soft. I probably could have lubricated the gasket but decided to get a Kohler brass one and not mess with it. I bet it would seal well but I am doing a reno and will only have access from the top once installed and this gasket will be very difficult to slip over the drain pipe in the assembly.

Pretty expensive
I think its a bit pricey compared to the standard stainless...feels like I'm being gouged. Also...unless you have a light color shower floor do you really want to see white when you look in the drain?!?!? No. A black grate on PVC should come with a black lined drain/pipe...I'd pay extra for that.

Worth the $
Cheaped out with a white cover in our new shower, decided to spend the extra $ for this black one and it made all the difference! Looks awesome

Nice finish
The white plastic of the drain body really sticks out. Should have been black.
