8FT Printer Cable Splitter for 2 USB Computers/Laptops Using 1 Printer

This USB splitter worked exactly as advertised. Setup was quick and easy, and it allowed two computers to share one printer without any issues. The connection has been stable, with no noticeable lag or dropped connections. The cables feel well-made and durable, and the switch functions smoothly. It's a great, cost-effective solution for a home office or small workspace where multiple computers need access to the same USB device. Highly recommended!

Does exactly what it should. USB 2.0; I use it for my keyboard, instead of a KVM. Works flawless. And its fast. Why Did I Buy it? I found this to work pretty well for me! and it was <12 bucks. I have a dual laptop setup on single Monitor, and also a TV. If things like G-sync don't matter to you, or your reading this and don't know what that is...then a KVM might be right for you. However; for me, 1. I R-click on the desktop Enable/disable display as needed. The Displays then auto finds the next source. 2. And I flip the switch on THIS cable. Done. Thats it. (If I forget something or whatever, I don't have to hit the KVM button ***which will Flip all Screens and Refresh, I might loose USB Wifi and all docked devices on the KVM will switch!) Instead I can just flip the switch on this cable. For me; turns out to work better then KVM, (suppose I could VNC into the other one, given various company requirements, thats not an option). I haven't Tried this on an SSD, or something that requires Power like a WiFi Dongle. Wouldn't recommend this for a USB HDD either. But for Me it works great!

I gave it a four star, it’s does exactly what it’s suppose to do. The only thing is you have to get up, and switch the button between computers when printing.

You can only connect to one computer at a time - with this switch you can go back & forth between computers - make sure you close the open window on the active computer before you switch over - brilliant!!

One of the cables stopped working for no understood reason. It was cheap but if it just stops working for no reason, then it is expensive due to its durability. It's a great idea executed poorly which is why I suppose you do not find a lot of different versions of this solution. Update 3/31/24. To my surprise, the seller reached out and offered a full refund. While the product did not meet my expectations, the seller went above my expectations. Raised from 1 Star to 3 Stars due to seller backing a product they sold.

easy hookup. stops the frustration of fighting with a wireless connection if you run 2 computers!

This (sort of) worked for about two weeks. I was using this splitter to split a usb microphone to switch between my work computer and personal computer. I always had an issue where the microphone would randomly disconnect and reconnect repeatedly, but it would usually resolve after a few minutes. After about two weeks though, it stopped resolving. I know this was an issue with the splitter and not the microphone because it happened while using either of the PCs, and it only happened while the microphone was plugged into this splitter. It didn't happen if it was plugged directly into the PC. Seems like a hardware malfunction in the splitter.
