Excellent alternative to Canon kit
Bought to remotely connect a Canon 430 EXII speedlite and a Canon 580 EXI speedlite to a Canon 5D MkII. These receivers are controlled by a Godox XPro-C attached to the camera hotshoe. Whilst the 430 works perfectly, I can only remotely adjust the 580's ETTL and Flash Exposure Compensation functions. It will not respond to adjustments in Manual Mode. I understand this is due to the age and relatively basic communication functions of the 580, with it being a Mark One version. I am happy to compromise on this until I replace the 580, as it has saved me a fortune buying alternative controllers that would supply the necessary connectivity.

Incompatible with Dedicated Metz flashgun
I don’t usually submit product reviews, however, I hope that any amateur photographers, or other, will find this useful. Before you decide to read on, the focus of this review is to highlight that sadly this particular off camera trigger is incompatible with Metz Mecablitz 58 AF II speed lights for a Canon DSLR.My set up - I have Canon EOS 600D and EOS 6D cameras, and two Metz Mecablitz 58 AF II speed lights. All have the latest firmware updates installed. I wanted to get away from using the Metz ‘flash activated’ master/slave capability due to ‘line of sight’ limitations for ‘off camera’ flash photography. Also, it means one light has to remain on the camera in the case of the 6D due to no inbuilt trigger flash, limiting options. So, I purchased two Godox XR1-C receivers, and a XPro to trigger them. Unfortunately, after countless hours of trying, and even more on YouTube and camera forums, I have found no solution. You would expect it to fire the flash in Manual mode, but it doesn’t, even though the receiver’s light shows the signal was sent. In TTL mode, it will flash, however, the display on the Metz becomes erratic, pulsing and beeping, eventually resulting in the flash discharging in strobe mode! In summary, the Canon dedicated Godox receiver will work with Godox speed lights but definitely not Metz guns. There are plenty of reviews on YouTube confirming it will work with a Canon speedlight, so it wasn’t a big leap to assume it would work with Metz dedicated guns as well, but it doesn’t. In fairness to Godox, they can’t cover all manufacturers, dedicated or not. Finally, I must say that the Godox components look nicely made and have metal hotshoes. They are really simple to use and have a good radio range. After reading reviews on Godox products, I’ve decided to return these two receivers and purchase two new Godox speed lights to work with the XPro trigger instead. A bigger financial outlay, but time to upgrade to newer technology. Hope this prevents you going through the same frustration.

Works like a charm with my Canon Speedlite
I have a Canon 80D and a Canon EXii speed lite. I barely had to use the instructions, it's so easy to use with the Godox XproC (you'll need either this, or the Good X1T-C) to use with Canon speedlites.I can now not only trigger my flash wirelessly, but change the settings from the Godox XproC instantly between manual, TTL etc. I only use it with one flash, but you can connect up to 5 different groups. I'm looking forward to buying more speedlites and using this to control them all.Only weird thing is when using rechargeable batteries, the battery meter does not indicate the correct battery level (battery life is still fine though, just the reporting of the level).Build quality is nice, a bit plastic-y but no issues here.

Receiver
Great as long as you use rechargeable batteries! It worked perfectly after I realized I drained my regular batteries. It was my fault because I’m new to off camera flash and didn’t know what i was doing. I was shooting at full power and not allowing sufficient recycle time.

Faz bem a sua função
Comprei este produto, porque precisava de usar um disparador da Godox com um speedlite da Canon e funciona na perfeição. Nunca tive problemas com ele.Podia ter um ecrã mais fácil de usar, mas funciona muito bem.
