Audio-Technica M4000S Handheld Dynamic Microphone

Used for church praise team. Won’t see much road action so plenty sturdy. Good fidelity. Good for vocals. Also used for guitar. Great deal.

For half the price pretty much sound the same as the 58's. Bought four about a year ago and have no issue with them.

Basic build quality appears decent. The switch does produce audible switching transients when switching the mic on, but they are not severe. (You can leave the channel gain at working volume and not blow the audience out when the mic is switched on. They will know, however, that you have turned on the mic.) Sound quality is fine for spoken voice but not ideal for singers or instruments (There is some peakiness and ringing in the high frequency end that would need smoothing out. Most will probably want to trim the highs a touch.). I have not had them long enough yet to develop a feel for overall reliability.

I almost use audio technica exclusively, because you barley have to adjust the mix to sound great.

Works great. Very good sensitivity and freq resp.

The M4000S is a very good close-working dynamic vocal mic, especially consider_6uu. Just don't drop it. It's not one of those mics you can pound nails with.
