Fabulous!
This is a fantastic idea! Each door in the advent Callander contains the pieces for a small jigsaw. The pieces are well made and thick enough to feel like a proper jigsaw rather than being too thin. There is a sheet with the individual pictures in to help piece these together and everything is really well packaged and appealing. I only opened the first door as I want to save this for December, but I was pleased with what I found. The doors are perforated, which is a shame as I would have liked to be able to uses this year after year, but we will at least be able to reuse the jigsaws so I feel some crafting coming on for Xmas 2025!A good quality item that represents good value I think.

Great idea, well executed
I absolutely love the idea of this.Couldn’t resist this, as an idea. You get a box which consists of 24 smaller boxes, and inside each one is a small jigsaw to complete daily, which all combine together, to make a Christmas Advent scene. How fab is that?!Usefully, you also get a good-sized sheet with the co mplete jigsaw on it, for reference—though I think I’ll cut that up and fold the relevant part of the picture into each individual box for fouture use, so that I don’t know what’s coming the next day. They also have a number-reference printed on the back, which is very handy for when you break it all back down, to make sure that you get all the right pieces into the right box. This way, when you’ve packed it up and are somehow left with one single piece not yet packed, you know where to put it – Perfect!I did a little cheat, and opened box no.1 to try it out, and the individual pieces are a good thickness with nice clean cuts, which hold well when linked together. There’s not too much duplication of shape, either. You really do need something of good quality for a set like this, as they’re going to come out year after year, so you need to know that the top layer won’t separate from the card underneath, in use. These seem well made with compacted, stable edges and a nice clear, clean print.I just love the whole idea of having all the boxes sat neatly within that main box, ready to go. If you wanted, it would be easy to just drop a couple of wrapped chocolates in each as well, as a treat to eat whilst doing the jigsaw. In all I’m loving this idea, and the execution seems pretty sound. I noticed that the shop do several different designs, so though this is my personal favourite, you may find something more to your liking, if you prefer a different design. Definitely recommended, I’d say!

The Jig is up.
- Review for Advent Calendar 2024 Christmas Jigsaw Puzzle-1008 Pieces Christmas Countdown Calendar 24 Days Jigsaw Puzzles,Holiday Vintage Stamp Puzzles for Adults Kids,Xmas Gift for Boys and Girls || Price: £19.99 (at time of ordering) -This is such a wonderfully fun retro inspired Christmas calendar; chocolates are so last century. I never realised how much joy could be had with something so simple - and not just for kids either! We had lego last year, and this year it's jigsaw puzzles. I haven't opened the individual boxes yet so can't comment on quality, but from the outside it looks pretty damn great. Can't wait to get started. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, well designed puzzle. Price is on the high side though
Not all puzzles are created equal, and I hoped that for the price this was going to be good. I'm pleased to say it doesn't disappoint. The 24 days of Christmas are broken down into individual sections so you can watch the puzzle grow each day. It took me about 15 minutes to put day one together, a task made easier by the clearly marked number ones on the back of each piece which not only tell you where they go in the puzzle but also which way round. The pieces fit together with a nice snap and there is no issue with pieces being so similar that they can be put in the wrong place. The pictures are really cute and nicely drawn too. I think it would make a wonderful alternative to a chocolate filled advent calendar, and you can avoid fights by taking it in turns to complete a day. As I mention in my title it is a bit pricey at nearly £20, but it is something you can bring out every year and enjoy over and over again. A definite recommend from me.

A new Christmas tradition will begin in our house in 2024.
"Eeee, when I were a lass," advent calendars consisted of simply opening windows to reveal a Christmas picture. Later on came the chocolates, (sadly I never got to experience this as a child), and nowadays with the onset of rampant consumerism, advent calendars have got absolutely ridiculous, costing hundreds of pounds with designer perfumes, jewellery, bottles of alcohol etc behind the doors.Let's get back to basics with this beautiful twist on the traditional advent calendar, a charming jigsaw puzzle.Inside the box are 24 small boxes, each containing a little jigsaw puzzle featuring a vintage style Christmas scene. Also included is a separate sheet. On one side of the sheet is a picture guide of the puzzles to be completed (although one can do it the old-fashioned way by using the picture on the front of the box). The other side contains a numbered grid that one can use as a surface to complete the whole puzzle. The idea is that the user completes a puzzle each day of advent, until all 24 mini puzzles are completed, forming the one big picture of 24 mini pictures, if that makes sense. All families have their own little Christmas traditions, doing the same little things every year. I know our family does. The beauty of this is that the puzzle can be kept and done every year, creating a new Christmas tradition. This is the intention of our family. From now on, we will complete this every year, adding to the other little Christmas traditions we do in our house. Each piece has the corresponding number of their puzzle on the back, which is really useful when packing it away as one can ensure each piece goes back in it's correctly numbered box ready for next year.As fans of a more traditional Christmas, our family absolutely loves this and are happy to recommend it.
