The XL was too small for my hands. The padding is really thin. The gloves are also very thin; not for winter cycling. Returning.

For the cooler rides heading into and out of winter, these gloves are perfect for the job. These full finger gloves are just enough to keep your hands warm on when short fingers gloves just wont cut it. These gloves are very breathable and comfortable without the bulk that a lot of long fingered gloves have. I measured my hand and compared with the sizing chart and the gloves I received fit perfectly; it helps that the back surface is a bit stretchy to allow for a nice fit even with different size hands. These gloves are true to the size chart! The palm has a nice feel without being too bulky/ squishy, with the black grippers that offer just enough grip on wet rides while remaining not restricting hand movement on the bars. The thumb and pointer finger tip material also works well with my smart phone which usually works as long as my hand or screen is not too sweaty. I really like these gloves!

These gloves are obviously designed to dissipate heat and are definitely not winter gloves (at least not an American winter outside someplace like California). The top part is spandex and isn’t windproof while the underside has holes in it. Air passes through them. That helps keep your hands from getting hot in a particular temperature range. However, that same feature will make your hands cold if you don’t generate enough heat through exertion to offset the outside temperature. They’re ok at 60 degrees but 50 degrees is pushing it.
