great tool
We are a small machine shop. This is just what we needed at a fair price.

Super high quality tool compared to the cheapos!
Works great on 10 gen Civics. I also bought the "cheap" china version, and while it works, this tool is really nice. Super heavy duty, long reach, I could yank the seals out with ease while the cheap version took a few tries. If you like quality tools, but this one. It is a bit pricey but YOLO.

Worked well
These did exactly what I needed them to. Only problem I have is they tend to slip off which is kinda jarring when it happens. The grips could probably be a little sharper to hold but other than that they worked fine.

It's a Helpful Tool, But It Doesn't Remove The Valve Stem Seals Without the Use of Additional Tools, Work and Time
I've used these pliers to remove the valve stem seals on two 1.7 L Civic Heads. The tool does allow one to grip and twist the seal's metal base. However, I've yet to have it simply pull the valve seal off (even with rocking and twisting with considerable force), without first prying on it a time or two with some sort of angled lever, trim tool, large 90 deg pick etc. With the position of some of the valve "guide tubes" finding a position of leverage can be challenging. Once the base of the seal is bent out a little, THEN these pliers do help more than conventional pliers would. (When I'm using them and going through the prying process, I find myself thinking that a gently applied baby slide hammer (with small precise "hooks") would be much more effective). Also...I think the price is a little steep, given the afore described user unfriendly aspect.

Honda b20b valve seal removal !
I used this tool to replace the valve seals on my 88 Honda civic wagon that had a B20 swap. (My valve seals were about 6.6mm) Worked good for me on my DOHC. I didn't even have to take the head off. Just put some good ol rope down into the cylinder hole and turned the crank untill TDC was hit and the valve was nice and tight so it wouldn't fall down into the cylinder chamber.I found you just have to apply light pressure when your grasping the valve seal and turn side to side till it comes off slowly. Don't grip to hard or it won't come off.Hope this helps someone.

Well Made Tool
Tool is well made and got the intended job done quicky. As a bonus it is made in USA. The handles offer plenty of comfortable grip. The grooved tips easily grasp the flared lip of the seal.

Not as narrow as I'd hoped.
This is a well-made tool of quality material and construction. However, it is not as narrow as I'd hoped. It was not suitable for removing the valve stem seals from the intake side of a VW 1.8T on which I was working. It did fine with the exhaust side and gripped the seals firmly for twisting and extracting.
