Look no further - this will save a tremendous amount of your time and agony
I'd give 10 stars if I could! it's totally worth spending $60 on this tool. I initially bought an OTC 6613 Variable Pin Spanner Wrench (and failed to break loose the camshaft bolt on 1999 Sienna), thinking it would be more universal for other applications. But OTC wrench was flexing so much and I could not budge the cam nut(s) at all. So I gave up and ordered this Schley holder tool. Should have gotten this tool in the first place! It only took a few seconds to loosen each cam bolt. I could not believe the contrast and how much difference a good tool can make. It's especially useful to deal with the cam bolt on the 1MZFE rear bank which is nicely and deeply tucked in next to the firewall. And remember your impact gun probably won't fit on either cam bolts. This tool is very solid and heavy. Probably even a gorilla can't bend this tool. As long as your hand is steady, the cam won't rotate as the you can get such a tight grip on the pulley, which is applicable for both loosening and tightening the bolts. Out of desperation I watched some creative yet crazy hand made holding tools (i.e. 6 foot long 4x6 lumber with old timing belt nailed on) on youtube, but I'd rather spend $60 and get this done in a few seconds. Besides, if you're reading this, you're already saving several hundred dollars in labor already. To me this tool is worth every penny and super highly recommended. I also bought their crank pulley holder tool, which is also super solid and awesome. Lastly, thank you Schley Products folks for doing the right thing and producing such reliable tools - I really appreciate your honest craftsmanship.

It may not be as versatile as some alternatives but it much stronger.
Bought this to change the water pump on a 1995 Camry with a 1MZ-FE V-6. On this engine the rear timing belt cover overlaps the water pump and must be at least loosen and better removed to change the water pump. To remove this cover the cam shaft sprockets must be removed. There are hex sections on the cam shafts to hold the shafts while loosening the retaining nuts but the rocker covers must be removed to access them. This tool lets you hold the sprocket while loosening the retaining nut from outside of the engine. The sprocket retaining nuts on our car had seized tightly over the 20 years since it had been built. A friend that is a professional auto mechanic had one of the "universal" pulley holders that he used to remove the sprocket retainer nut from one camshaft but in the process bent the tool and buggered up the sprocket. The Schley tool arrived from Amazon the next day and made quick work of removing the second sprocket and reinstalling both. It may not be "universal" but it is a much stronger tool. I'm not certain if I will have another use for this tool after this job but even with a single use it was way less expensive than going to a commercial shop.

THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB. 2000 Toyota Sienna 3.0 v6
I opted for the rush delivery and received the product within 38 hours. Great job by JB Tool Sales and Fedex. The tool looks to be stamped out of 3/8" plate steel. It is appox. 16" in length and it fits the cams on my 2000 Toyota Sienna 3.0 v6 PERFECTLY. This tool will save you alot of time and aggravation. It is in my opinion the RIGHT TOOL for the job. It is a quality made tool. I read other amazon reviews about the quality of this tool. Terry M, J. Moore and Susan Duffy all referred to the tool as being sturdy. Now that I have it in my hands, Two words come to mind, HEAVY DUTY. I too could not ever see the tool bending while being used for its intentional purpose.

Camshaft sprocket holder
This tool is heavy and stout while my other tool holder was bending. Idk about other knockoff tools but I trust in Schley products I have a few of their other special tools and they don't disappoint

It made taking the bolts off of the cam pulley easy (with a 24 inch 1/2" breaker bar)
I used this working on a Toyota 3.0 (3vze) engine. It made taking the bolts off of the cam pulley easy (with a 24 inch 1/2" breaker bar). i chose this Schley cam pully tool over several other cheaper versions I saw on Amazon and other sites because many reviewers had indicated that those were somewhat flimsy and became damaged the first time they were used. This is a very sturdy tool, and I really can't see how this could ever be damaged or broken. One of the other reviews on here said that it was made in the USA. That was another reason I purchased this particular brand of this tool, and was willing to pay more. The one I received doesn't indicate the country of origin on either the tool or the packaging though, so I really couldn't say where it was made. Overall, I'm still pretty happy with this, and I think that it will provide years of service.

Tool is too bulky for a Nissan 300zx. But ...
Tool is too bulky for a Nissan 300zx. But it's very well built and I don't think you could ever wear it out.

Don't even try and do without this tool!
Works like a charm. One still needs to exert quite a bit of force to remove camshaft pulleys, especially from older engines and this tool makes the job safer. It is also the safest, surest way to restrain the pulley when re-installation torque is being applied.
