worked for old seagate to mac mini
new mac mini to older backup connection didn't work. needed an adaptor.

Simple USB dongle.
Must have item for my laptop to use usb products such as external HD. I like this for its simplicity as opposed to bulky docks with redundant ports. Excellent quality at a fair price.
