Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex (PS2)

Brilliant

Many Crash fans who would call themselves "hardcore" dislike this game. "It's just Crash Bandicoot 3 with long loading times and a few more vehicles" they complain. And I can happily say that that statement is an insult to those at Traveller's Tales who developed the game. OK, maybe the loading screens are a little long, but with a maximum wait of 20 seconds is that really a valid complaint? The game improves upon both the graphics and platforming of the PS1 trilogy in many ways. The graphics are an obvious upgrade, and are nice to look at. Nothing special, but nothing bad either. The platforming is improved by making the levels longer and wider, allowing for more space. The game can be very challenging to complete while getting all the extra bonus collectibles. The vehicle levels aren't very good though, there were some that felt fun like the "Super Monkey Ball"-esque ball levels, but most of them such as the plane levels were just boring and didn't fit in with the game. Thankfully, the game is 3/4 platforming and 1/4 vehicle levels, so this does not distract from the main game too much. Overall, highly reccommend the game, best Crash Bandicoot game ever, huge improvement over the original PS1 trilogy.

Was the same price as P&P so can't complain. Had hours of fun on it with the girlfriend. Brings back memories. Delivery was quick which I was very impressed with. Will use the company again and will continue to get hours of enjoyment out the game

If you find you have a little extra room for another game in your PS2 library, then this might well be the thing to fill that space. This isn't just Video Game Cement though, it is a good game on it's own. The graphics are most impressive, and the idea of the game - that you have to destroy the 4 elementals coupled with your stronger clone, Crunch - is irresistable! The warp rooms are full of interesting and sometimes very challenging levels. Collecting all the Gems is difficult, and I took a long time on the Air Elemental. Anything bad about this game? Yes, but only minor things. I wish the enemies were a bit more reactive instead of just standing in your path, chucking a little grenade at you mechanically. But then again, that's what the enemies in Crash 1&2 do, and they're two of my 10 favourite games. I suppose I wanted something a little more different. Anyway, moaning aside, this game should be treasured by any Crash fan. But I don't see the quirky marsupial as my ultimate video game character, but i still enjoyed the game very much. So, Buy this game!!

Excellent customer service!! Received the product in less than the stated time however the first game did not work in the PS2 After a short email to "Sierra" through the amazon website the provider apologised and sent out a replacement game free of charge, no issues that day which i received in working condition two days later. Cant complain about service like that!! Excellent game well worth the money!

Amazing game

A must have for all real Crash Bandicoot Fans out there, not as good as the PS1 Version but still super fun to Play

I bought this from Retroboy, so when it came, I checked the disc and was pleased as there wasn't a single scratch on it!! I put in to try it out and it works perfectly, blfelt nostalgic as I played this game as a teen so Thankyou Retroboy will defiently purchase from you again!!!
