We purchased a couple of these rolls to assist in the installation of an underfloor (water) heating system with flowing screed. As the insulation (PIR) had gone down underneath our slab, we didn't want to be adding more above it, not only for cost reasons but more importantly due to room height conditions. We laid this as both an insulative and water barrier, with expansion foam running around the edges prior to laying the pipes on-top with clips and concrete screws. The screed was poured and everything went off nicely. One recommendation for anyone else using this technique would be to seal around the drill holes. Whilst the surface of the Foil is water/thermal proof, the anhydrite screed tends to react with the internal foil, so a bit of silicone should do the job around the screw.

I have a gym in my attic, and put this all around it, and it has made a big difference keeping the heat out from the sun in summertime. I've shown friends and they want me to do the same for them. So I will be ordering more, thanks.
