Q: Not sure how this works, is there a reservoir you put the Gesso into and then glide and spread or do you glide it over a little puddle of Gesso or????

You use the Gesso Magic just like a brush! There is no reservoir, you can pat or spread paint and gesso on, just like any other paint brush.

Q: Can this be used with oil paints!

Absolutely! The Gesso Magic can be used with any paints or liquid media, and is great for building up texture and spreading or smoothing. Also a huge plus, it's crazy easy to clean!

Q: Can this be used on uneven surfaces such as rock?

I don't see why not. I use these to apply gesso to paper. It takes less and goes on smooth without brush marks. They clean up quickly with a little water. As long as the surface is not abrasive, I would think they would work. They are about 2 in. x 2.5 in. I love them for my purpose. Good luck.
