This microscope works like a charm! It can be used for any items you want a closer look. The clarity is great & has adjustments that make it ideal. Easy to set up & use in a few minutes. It also can be connected to your computer to have a larger screen. We haven't needed to use the computer yet because it works great. It's also fun for kids to look at items under a microscope. We are completely happy with this microscope.

This worked great for coins. Good clarity

I didn't use this for coins, but I can see how valuable it would be for something that size. After returning from California with some small quartz rocks and other lode, I used this microscope to check for any obvious gold veins. Due to my shaky hands, I had to find a stable location to setup. Once I had the lens stabilized, I could turn the rocks by different angles to see just what I had. I was shocked at the clarity of the details I was seeing. I had some gold in quartz that was unseen by the naked eye but appeared huge when placed under the lens. The visible gold I knew of before using the microscope was made even more viewable, and worthwhile. For me, the joy of seeing gold in the rocks made this investment even more valuable. After viewing under the lens, I used this to check out the microscopic gold flakes in my gold pan after crushing the rocks. What was nearly invisible to the naked eye became clean and easily viewed under this lens. Setup was simply; I did add some additional external lighting (I am over 70 years old) so my eyesight needed the boost that a younger pair of eyes might not require. For those hobbyists, and for those who like seeing small items up close, I strongly recommend this microscope.

I think this is a decent product for what it is, but don’t expect a high-end microscope. I wasn’t looking for professional-grade quality, so I’m not disappointed, but I do think buyers should be realistic. It’s frustrating when people expect $1,000 performance from a product that costs around $30–$50. You’re not paying for premium equipment here, and that’s okay, just be realistic about your expectations! I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son, who’s currently into coin collecting. He didn’t specifically ask for a microscope, but I thought it might be something he’d enjoy. For the price (under $50), I was actually pleasantly surprised. I opened it early to test it out and make sure everything worked before gifting it, just in case I needed to return it. The assembly was simple, and I tested it using a penny. The zoom/focus works well, and the screen is surprisingly crisp for this price range. That said, there are a couple of drawbacks. First, the stand is a bit wobbly. The microscope camera is lightweight, but the plastic base is even lighter, which makes the whole setup top-heavy. Even small actions, like adjusting the zoom, pressing buttons, or repositioning a coin, can cause it to shake. For some users, that might be annoying. Personally, I don’t think my son will mind it, and I'm sure he’ll figure out how to work around it. Another minor issue is the height of the stand. It's fairly short, so you can’t get the entire coin in the field of view, even with a small coin like a dime. You only see a cropped portion unless you reposition the coin multiple times. However, the included manual suggests a workaround: turn the camera facing the other way and place the stand on top of a book (or stack of books) to raise the overall height - it includes pictures in the booklet showing you how to do this. This allows you to view the entire coin in one frame and then fine-tune the focus for detail. Overall, it’s a solid beginner microscope for casual use, especially for kids or hobbyists. Just manage your expectations and understand what you're getting for the price.

I purchased this Digital microscope to examine old coins. The eyes are not what they used to be and hand held magnifying glasses just do not do the job. I was totally impressed with this product. The ease of use and quality of magnification far exceeded my expectations. The view of a coin on the stand was really more than I need most of the time but turning the eyepiece around and elevating a few inches changed the focal length and the clarity of the entire object is fantastic. It has picture capability but I have never tried to use it.

Love this coin microscope, it works great and has the ability to link up to my computer for a bigger screen. It’s very easy to use! Great for a beginner coin collector!

I just recently started really looking at my change jar. This has helped tremendously. The magnification is really good, lighting is good, LCD screen is wonderful. Great for viewing machine or die doubling and/or other mint errors. I will say that the battery drains pretty quickly but that's to be expected working an LCD screen on battery. I get a couple hours of continuous use before it needs charged. Charging only takes about an hour so it doesn't bother me, makes me remember to take a break lol!

Works well. easy to use right out of the box. Works perfect. Has sharp clear 4.3 inch color screen , takes pictures and videos. I think it is a very good deal. I paid $33.I purchased it on Amazon. It came right away the same day. screen is Clear and bright and easy to use a fun tool/toy for sure ,it is cool. It came well packaged and unbroken. I would highly recommend this microscope for a beginner scope only because I want a more powerful one the next step up . they are so awesome I want another one ,the more powerful one ,same company although ,I would definitely buy it again . it would make a great present . There is another world its a small world , and now I can see it yippie! also the more expensive ones are a lot more expensive but they have three lenses versus the one lens like I purchased. if I had to describe this product in one word it would be "FUN" it's also functional I can see the condition of my finger nails and skin. That has an adjustable light wheel with lots of light and the focus is easy and smooth to turn Producing a sharp clear picture. I really like the ability to scroll through the pictures that I have taken in this microscopic world. it charges up nicely and the battery last a long time which is rechargeable I am old school where I have used microscopes that you put your eyeball up to that lens eyepiece most of the time unable to see anything. This is so modern and easy to use amazing!
