These are so painful! It could simply be because my feet are that bad! But they hurt to stand on for a long period of time (my job requires me to stand for hours with only one 20 minute break).HOWEVER….my back pain isn’t nearly as bad now after using them.

I used an in-store machine to test my feet and decide which model to order. I did this a few times to make sure I came up with the same answer each time. I think it did pretty well. Looking at the product and visually matching it to the much more expensive custom insert that the doctor ordered, I think it matches pretty closely. And, it's a lot cheaper to buy some of these for different shoes than to buy more copies of the one the doctor ordered.These do wear out and deteriorate. If you wear the shoes most days, these inserts will probably last up to a year.

I bought this thinking that it would help my feet working as a nurse. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up almost rolling my ankle 3 times with this insole in a week. One of those times, I thought my ankle was going to snap. Needless to say, I returned this item. I used Dr. School's website to make sure I got the right insole. I will stick to the standard insoles that come in my Merrell hiking shoes.
