The drinks originator, Dr. Augustin Thompson, was born in Union, ME. He first developed Moxie as a medicinal product while living in Lowell, Massachusetts, and claimed that it would cure almost everything. In, or around, 1884 soda water was added and the new beverage was marketed as a soft drink called Moxie Beverage Nerve Food. It is the oldest continually produced soft drink in the country. Moxie is the official soft drink of the State of Maine.

Brought back memories for my dad!
My dad drank Moxie when he was a kid. Once in a while he gets nostalgic talking about it, so, naturally I found Moxie on Amazon and this AMAZING shirt! My dad loves imitating the Moxie guy! Here he is with this great fitting shirt, doing the pose! He looks great and loves his shirt!
