If you’re gonna have kids using it, you need back up batteries.

It's a gift for a 10 year old boy for Christmas. He hasn't opened it yet, so can't comment on how it functions. The box and product appear just as described. I think he will be happy with it.

I got this for my son for his birthday and he loves it! It is a nice size and the controls are easy to use once you get the hang of it. It goes decently fast, but not very fast in grass. It seems to have 2 speed settings you can choose from, a fast and a slow. The casing on the car is sooo thin and flimsy I definitely wouldn't recommend holding it by anywhere but the tires or the bottom because it feels like you could just snap it or crack it with your bare hands. The rest of the truck feels sturdy and well made but the entire design on the car is just a spray painted piece of hard plastic thinner than a milk jug.

At the price point, there are way better options for your kids, please browse more on amazon, you can get much more for your money.I literally snagged this truck, just to get the plastic body for another truck that cost the same amount but is 10 times better in every way. seriously, just look at the quality control when they cant even mount LED lights in a bumper properly.I wouldnt buy this for my kids, yes its toy grade and not hobby grade, but even as a toy grade RC its disappointing.

Good sized, but the electric motor used here doesn't have enough torque to make this thing slap. I tried climbing a wood chip pile and the motor loses power at steep angles. But on flat angles it goes through grass well enough, and it runs great on asphalt, and grass too really.
