Doctor's Best, High Absorption Magnesium, 100% Chelated, 240 Tablets

My wife and myself used to have muscle cramps specially at night in our foot arch and sometimes in our calf muscles. Then our family physicians suggested us to take magnesium supplement. We have tried various local brands magnesium supplement but it hardly made any difference. Finally about a year ago, we decided to try out Doctor's Best Magnesium supplement. Well, this supplement didn't disappoint at all. Both of us no longer have muscle cramps any more and are able to sleep peacefully for minimum of 8 hours at night. I must say that this supplement has definitely helped us in living our normal life again.

Of all the magnesium supplements available on Amazon, this is the best. One needs 400 mg magnesium daily. If you rely entirely on this supplement, you would have to take 4 tablets daily with food. But since you get some magnesium from your food as well, 2 tablets a day(one with breakfast and one with supper) should give you 50% of your daily requirement. If you go for any other brand, you will need to take about 10 tablets a day to give your body 400 mg magnesium. There is some science involved in terms of magnesium salt used, percentage by weight of magnesium present in the salt, bio-availability, etc but I'm not going to go into the details. I know what I'm saying. Take my word for it. Or don't. Your choice. Reducing one star due to high cost.

I have been using this product for more than a year now and consume one tablet daily before sleeping. My magnesium levels in lab tests are finally in range and muscle ache has reduced significantly. If you have anxiety issues or are unable to sleep properly because your mind never stops over thinking in night time this supplement will surely help you sleep better. You will start noticing immediate changes with this supplement. Please note no supplement works in silo and combine it with lifestyle changes for long term effect. Keep you mobile away at night else nothing can help you sleep on time. Pros: Reduced anxiety levels Elevated quality of sleep Less frequent muscle aches Acts as a laxative Cons: Bit costly (asking a friend or colleague to bring this back from US always helps) Don't go for cheaper Indian brands. I can vouch for the fact that this supplement is of better quality in comparison. Personally 'Yoga + Magnesium + Vitamin D supplement + Evion LC' has worked like a charm for me.

I’ve tried other products of this brand. This is the 1st time using this for magnesium. I’ll give more reviews later as it’s only 1 day since I’ve taken the tablet. So far so good.

I have revised the review after my third order to a one* rating. The Dr’s Best medicine bottles typically have the expiry date on the bottom portion of the bottle, and I know as I regularly buy vitamin K2, lutein etc of this brand - this bottle had no date printed at that location, but was printed elsewhere at the side - at the time of opening the bottle I could not say for sure that it was fake so did not want to complain to Amazon about it as I was not 100% sure. Also for this item they have a no return policy. So I have opened the bottle now, and a couple of days later I find that these tablets in my pill box are smelling like stale sweat, and a touch moist as well , which has never happened before with the previous two orders. Therefore I am now pretty sure that this time I have been landed with a fake bottle - or else the quality is drastically compromised. So I have decided now that a) I’m not going to be buying this item again and will think 10 times before buying any more supplements from this brand. That’s going to be hard, as I have to look for another option. b) I’m going to make a note of the seller and ensure that I will not order from the same seller again. Did anyone else find a problem with these?? I can say with 100% confidence that the smaller pack of 120 tablets each that I received with my first order was really too good. The second time I was sent the 240 tablets pack as per the description. I think quality is superb - helps me sleep - that’s the first thing I noticed.

okay product. nothing great. product didn't feel like high quality and no noticeable difference in body and schedule even after continous use. better try for other brands. the product didn't feel imported as well and the packaging was very flimsy

Used this product, along with mag citrate, mag liquid, and mag body spray... and together they got rid of my night time foot and calf cramps, as well as intermittent heart palpitations. You have to use many forms of magnesium to make sure you absorb it. As with any supplement, use it until you can change your diet, then get off the supplements (because supplements are NEVER whole food like in nature, no matter what the manufacturer says). These supplements are usually very expensive (in dollars these supplements are about half the price!)... but I only buy supplements that I knew from the U.S. so had to pay extra.

Bery good magnesium with a high absorption, especially good for cramps. Recommend by the pharmacist after insurance rejected another mg and it was way to expensive to buy without co-payment.

Out of nowhere I started getting heart palpitations and if you've experienced this the anxiety that comes with it is borderline unbearable especially when you don't know what's wrong. I tried to cut back on caffeine, chocolates, and sugar but still daily I would get the palpitations. I couldn't even exercise anymore because they would come out of nowhere. I found a doctor named Sanjay Gupta on YouTube, if you type in Sanjay Gupta magnesium on YouTube you can find him, he explained how magnesium helps your heart and palpitations. I never take any supplements or pills so I was hesitant to even try it and weeks went by and it was just getting too unbearable with the palpitations so I finally gave in and bought it and then I let it sit on the counter forever because the pills are pretty big. I had finally had enough so I took one pill and figured I'd just build myself up to taking the rest of the recommended dosage on the bottle. After taking that one pill the palpitations went away immediately! I couldn't believe it! Once in a while I will get a mild version of the palpitations so I started taking the correct dosage and now I can go a whole day and not have any palpitations. Since taking this pill I've also noticed that my daily headaches have disappeared. I would get a headache more than 5 days a week and I'm talking severe painful headaches and then I noticed oh my goodness I haven't had a headache since I started taking this! My sleep is also better but most importantly I thank God that he's led me to the way of finally getting rid of the palpitations I had. I used to also get a ton of leg cramps and those have disappeared as well! I feel like a new person again after taking this magnesium, it's saved my life. I feel so much better and can do so much more. I have much less anxiety also. This stuff is just a miracle drug. I never thought a supplement could benefit my life so much and I pray that whatever is bothering you that you take the chance and try it and I hope that it cures you because it's no fun being in pain or anxious. I started off crushing the pills and putting it in milk or apple sauce, it's a little yucky but got the job done. Thankfully I now have built up the courage to swallow the pills and it's not so bad anymore. I'm very happy with this product and would buy again!
