I was surprised by the compact size of this appliance when it arrived. It is a hard plastic box, but upon inspection I realized it expands by use of a flexible rubber-type middle section that is folded inside. That being said, even when expanded the appliance is about the size of a 3 gallon bucket. So having reasonable expectations as to what can be washed in this washer is critical. A power cable was in the box, as well as a plastic rigid hose and a basket that fits over the agitator that is inside. I located a couple of items to wash; a pair of shorts and a t-shirt. I plugged in the washer, closed the drain plug that is on the machine, and proceeded to add water. I added a total of just over a gallon of water, and a tablespoon of detergent. I then placed the two pieces of clothing inside. This was too much of a load. The items would spin, but I could hear a strained motor. So I removed the tshirt, and the action brgan! The machine spun one direction for about 5 seconds, then would reverse for about 5 seconds. I let the 5 minute cycle run, then swapped items to wash. Once finished, I unplugged the drain plug (that is about the same as a cooler would have), and let the dirty soapy water drain. I re-plugged the drain and added clean water to rinse. I let each item run another 5 minute cycle in the clean water, then drained again. There is no spin dry, so I had to wring out my items in the sink, then hang to dry. Both items got clean using the washer. Anyone with a use for washing small items in a portable machine may benefit from purchasing this. But be aware of the small capacity; you will not be able to wash multiple items in this at the same time. It gets 5 stars for working at what it claims to do.

one month after my purchase the machine broke. waste of money . Do not recommend it. The quality of the product is not worth the buck. It doesn't do what the description of the item says.

This is a great little washer for camping or just doing rags around the house. I recently went camping and to my surprise, it was very easy to use and affordable too. Fits perfectly in my Jeep and takes up minimal space. Certainly a must have for long camping or overlanding trips.
