NordVPN Basic, 10 Devices, 2-Year, Premium VPN Software, Digital Code

I originally bought this product in July 2022 and am just now writing this review in January 2025. Nord has been awesome. After my subscription expired, I renewed ever year since.PROS: It has a smooth and easy to use interface. Numerous VPN's to select from all over the world, including specialty servers like enabling a Double VPN or using "Onion Over VPN" to utilize the Tor network for increased privacy. It includes bonus services with your subscription such as a "Dark Web Monitor" that scans the web for leaked data related to your email, as well as Anti-Malware features, and Browsing Protection.Versatility -- I use the NordVPN application on my desktop, laptop, phone, and tablet.CONS: Occasionally it drops connection. However, its not that often, but when it does I simply switch to a different server.

Happy with my purchase. It is cheaper than on the website and I don't have to worry about a automatic subscription if I do not want to continue the membership after the year. VPN works great. Exactly what I needed and very easy to use.

Updated Review:The information I posted below about NordVPN not working on the list of routers is only partially correct. NordVPN tells me their software cannot be installed on any of the routers on that list. My issue is on a Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G smartphone. After months of contact with NordVPN support, I still cannot keep a reliable VPN connection on my phone so for now, nothing has changed. NordVPN continues to lose its connection to the NordVPN network servers every few minutes. It's so unreliable that I cannot rely on it to protect me thus the reason for this negative review.Original Review:AVOID NordVPN like the plague. This is from the NordVPN website, "On 1 December 2018, NordVPN’s servers stopped supporting L2TP/IPsec and PPTP connections." Because of this, the list of routers below are NO LONGER SUPPORTED. That's something they DON'T TELL YOU BEFORE YOU BUY! How sad this is, advertise like crazy on TV about how secure their software is and how it protects your privacy but then after a couple months of email exchanges with NordVPN support they send me to their website that shows all the most popular router brands on the market today that are NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THEIR SOFTWARE. >>> UNBELIEVABLE <<< This company should be listed as A SCAMMER because just about everyone has one of the brands listed below.You might be able to install NordVPN cleanly on your cell phone, TV, or PC but every 15 minutes or so the connection drops and your data and privacy are at risk. Or, if your router is listed below, perhaps you never did have a secure, private, VPN connection at all? How secure is that? NordVPN even had the nerve to tell me to setup split tunneling as a way to fix my connectivity issue. Even their support staff doesn't know, or won't tell you, that their software is incompatible with your router. The work around is to install firmware from a different source than your router manufacturer. I guess you have to know which firmware is more secure now. Likes:I like I can get a purchase voucher and not put in my financial info for Nord.Easy to install and set up you just need to create an account.Reliable connection and download speed.Quality VPN with great protection to my IP address.Concerns:As all VPN you are using their networks and servers so make sure not to use it for banking and stuff in my opinion it is safe to just not have all your network traffic tunnel into one specific node.Kept or Returned?Kept it and used it well.Thanks for your time and I hope this review was helpful.

Even in split tunnel it uses the VPN DNS so if you have apps set to not use the VPN the will not work properly because the VPN DNS still affects all connections even the ones you have set to not use VPN.Outside of that the VPN itself is great and doesnt seem to be resource hungry in terms of CPU load. Thats my only complaint the split tunnel. Everything else works good.

Good deal for a good vpn! Very fast, lots of servers. No complains. I use it 24/7 on my phone and on my tv. Im streaming YouTube and netflix and it never goes slow on me.

I tried installing the NordVPN on my TP-link DECO BE63 router - as far as the VPN goes, it worked great.However, my Amazon Ring Alarm system failed. I worked with the Ring support people and the Nord people and failed to find a work-around. The only way I could get the Ring Alarm to function was to take NordVPN completely off my iPhone 15, my PC, and my router. I really wish the NordVPN had worked. I believe it is a good product. I do believe a warning about the compatibility with Ring Alarm should be mentioned in the Amazon description.

Better VPN than its main competitor's attributes.
