So fun! I would recommend playing on a slow paced day at the course.

I was looking for a gift for my husband and this turned out to be perfect. He goes on an annual golf trip with his friends and this was an excellent game for them. He said they had a blast playing the Equalizer! They usually play the typical rounds of golf and it was getting boring plus the better golfers always won. This game equaled the playing field and provided tons of laughs! He highly recommended playing this game for those who want a change of pace and want to level the playing field instead of giving the worse golfers strokes.

I ordered these because I have friends that have never played golf before and wanted something to even the playing field. We played a very easy 9 hole pitch and putt that had 7 par 3s. I feel like the game slowed down play so it’s an absolute must to play on a slow day with no one in front or behind you. Also I think it would be better for courses with longer holes and played with people that have some golf knowledge. After the 5th hole I felt like I was giving them a silly impression of golf. One card said to use the putter like a pool stick to knock the ball into the hole. We ended up just scrambling.The cards themselves are sturdy, slightly smaller than a regular deck of cards. There’s nothing to really learn unless your friends know zero golf terminology (like mine). The disadvantage cards were all unique but the advantage cards had quite a few repeats. Would be a fun game under the right conditions, I just don’t recommend for true newbies.

My husband and I LOVE this game. Playing a regular round of golf can get tedious. Equalizer switches it up! We enjoy the clever cards and golf shots you wouldn’t think of doing! It’s fun for me (beginner) and my husband (wanna be pro)! Thanks to Equalizer it keeps the game competitive.

Friend group has golfers of all skill and it was a way to make it enjoyable and fun for everyone. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

This is not a game for those who take their golf too seriously. If you’re looking for a laugh, this is it. There is no learning curve, all the cards are self explanatory (although some are a little repetitive). I started learning to play golf a few months ago, and this makes it much more entertaining to play with my long term golfer husband. The packaging makes it easy to keep the booster cards separate from the penalty cards. Overall, this is a fun addition to the game.

This is a nice set of heavy cards, seems like they will hold up well. Shiny, glossy hard card stock with nice printing. The idea is a solid one, and will definitely be fun to see the really good golfers have to put up with the disadvantages doled out by the deck.I haven't had a chance to get these on the course yet, they just showed up. Will update this accordingly. There are a few ideas we had that would have been cool in the deck, but the stuff in here is fun, will certainly accomplish the goal of evening the deck for a group of mixed handicaps, and is reasonable enough. Nobody who is serious at all about golf wants to do ridiculous stuff, or damage the course or their gear- these cards are fun but not silly if that makes sense.I don't want to give it away, but things like the leader having to play the next hole with only a 7 iron (until on the green), or the loser getting an automatic gimme when they hit the green, these are fun ways to level the playing field without ruining the game or taking a bunch of time.Looking forward to mixing things up with the boys and this deck. Should be a fun twist to our usual play.Close to a 5 star, but I'd like to see a few more cards in there with no repeats to earn that rating.

My son is an intermediate level golfer and I gave this set to him. I am really glad I did. He plays about every week with the same guys. (I think it is a way to just get away from their wives...LOL). Anyway, he took them with him this past week and he said they all had a lot of fun. I am pretty sure he probably made the rules fit for them, but he said it was a lot of laughs.He liked that the deck is a little smaller so it fit perfectly in his back pocket. The cards are sturdy and will easily work for many, many more rounds. He also reported that a few of the cards are duplicates.I was able to see a few photos of some of the silly stuff they did, it did look like they had fun.I am very glad I ordered this set. I am now ordering 3 more sets for Christmas gifts for friends. I also think it would make a fun retirement gift.I recommend them.
