Worth the money

Love this globe!!
I'm quite impressed with the quality of this globe! Because I teach a middle school geography class to homeschoolers, accuracy was at the top of my list for a globe. I also wanted a good quality that would last for a while, heavy enough to not tip over easily, the oceans to be blue, to be made in the USA, and the size to be large enough for students at the back of the room to understand concepts (lines of lattitude/longitude, equator, tropics, hemispheres, etc.). I was not interested in illumination, star maps, or anything else. Just give the facts, and make it look good. I finally apprehensively ordered this one, and am so glad that I did. It is beautiful, functional, sturdy, and fits my needs.Only two things I'd liked to see in this that I didn't get: for reasons known but to God, China and Taiwan are the same color even though they are NOT the same country, and the colors are not bold, but slightly muted. That probably makes it easier to read up close, but it is slightly harder to see at a distance. Regardless, I'm pleased with my purchase, and in spite of having to explain the China/Taiwan thing, I'm glad that I have this globe.
