Rotring Rapid Pro Mechanical Pencil, 0.5mm, Black

This is a high end product and worth every penny

I got the rapid pro model. The difference is the 600 has a fixed tip, but the metal tip of the pro extends from .5mm unto the full 2mm, just depending on how hard down the click. The first click pushes out the metal tip accordingly, the second click dispenses the lead. I saw reviews in which people claim callous fingers, yes but I realized holding the pencil differently while writing does not cause that problem. Why? Japanese use chopsticks while eating instead of spoons and forks. So just hold the pencil at the grippy section with the balls of 3 fingers i.e.thumb, index and middle finger.

The Rotring Rapid Pro mechanical pencil is excellent. It is feels nice in your hands is very comfortable to use.

I would've bought Rotring 600 as it is more value for money had it been available on amazon prime or fulfilled by amazon. but this product is also good.

Firstly I have to appreciate the seller for a prompt replacement! First time I faced such issue of getting a 2.0 in place of 0.5 pencil, but rather the seller took care of the replacement! Pencil is awesome! The grip is excellent! Also the way the metallic finish is modified its also cool! Awesome product!!!

The Rapid Pro 0.5mm mechanical pencil is another instance of Rotring excellence. The styling, in my opinion, is beautiful in the matte black finish, finely knurled grip, and sleek aesthetic. It has an automatic "spring-loaded" cushioning mechanism for heavy-handed users who press hard on a pencil when writing. The lead sleeve is retractable and has no wobble insofar as I can discern. I like a small grip diameter, and the Rapid Pro is just suited to my taste in this regard (The grip diameter is very slightly larger than my Rotring 800.). The Rapid Pro has a brass clutch for gripping the lead unlike lesser pencils having plastic clutches. The upper body of this model (above the red ring) is hard plastic; although, it looks and feels like metal. This does not cheapen the pencil, for many other top-line pencils have hard plastic bodies also to reduce cost, weight, and finger fatigue during long periods of writing. The hexagonal shape of the upper body fails to prevent the pencil from rolling off the desk. However, the pocket clip stops the roll after one turn. There is no lead-hardness window. There is no lead-clearing pin embedded in the eraser as in the Rotring 800. This is a solidly built, premium pencil. I would gladly give it ten stars. I would buy it again.

È un porta mine molto bello, comodo e robusto. Ottima la possibilità di retrarre la parte cilindrica che sostiene la matita (cosa che nella versione 600 non si può fare) evitandone la rottura se “buttata” nello zaino di fretta.

Foi o produto com a pior embalagem que já recebi. Veio da Amazon, EUA, segundo o que me pareceu ser um protocolo interno somente com a indicação do código do produto. O envelope estava em um estado lastimável: imundo, todo amassado, e apenas um único revestimento de plástico bolha no interior. A caixa da lapiseira, solta dentro do envelope, estava amassada e rasgada. Se a lapiseira não tivesse uma construção robusta, provavelmente chegaria danificada. Não vou devolver, pois parece que ela está funcionando. Fiquei horrorizado. Aliás, não veio nota fiscal alguma.
