This USB-C to USB-C cable comes safely bagged. Two velcro straps and dust caps are included. At 1m, the cable is a reasonable length. Quality seems very good, the cable feels durable with metal housing for the connectors and a nylon braided cord that's thick but relatively flexible. There's substantial solid bend protection at the joins.Performance so far has been great - the cable supports fast charging and fast data transfer as well as video, with helpful markings on the connectors. Data transfer speeds match my fastest Thunderbolt 4 cable (though they don't approach 40Gbps), connections at both ends are firm and 4K picture quality is perfect so overall I am very happy with this cable.

I have purchased a few cables that support the Thunderbolt 4 and USB C specifications, and the first thing I notice about them is the thickness of the cable and the quality of the braiding, and this cable is no different. I love the design and the absolute top specifications of this half meter cable.The aluminium alloy housing moulds nicely onto the cable with some excellent strain relief that is perforated in several places, allowing it to bend and flex more easily. The connectors at the end are 24K gold plated to give you the best electrical contact possible. The cable itself has a very tight knit two tone braiding that looks and feels very strong. Each individual 30 AWG (American Wire Gauge) copper wire is shielded with aluminium foil to prevent interference and crosstalk.You can get this in longer lengths but I specifically wanted this in a 0.5 meter size as it is for my charging station, so it only needs to go from the charger to the device, which will be sitting right next to the charging adapter. As I have so many connections around my charging station these short cables really help in keeping my desk tidy.What I have found on all the Thunderbolt 4 Cables I have got recently is that they have there specifications marked on the connectors, which is something I have recommended in my reviews as an improvement to lesser spec'ed cables. I'm not sure if marking the specifications (or capabilities) of the cable is a prerequisite of the Thunderbolt 4 specification or not, but it's definitely a very welcome feature. For someone like me who works in IT, and Networking more specifically, I have so many different cables, and it's really good to just be able to tell at a glance what the cable is capable of so that you ensure you pick up the right one without wasting time trying the various cables to see if they work.

This trial type c lead was just what my old Oppo phone needed. The braided design is always my preference as they always last so much longer. The 0.5m length is pretty decent for most basic needs like charging on a bedside table at night and plugging into a car charger. It has been very reliable charging my Oppo with the right type c charger of course. Splendid!

The upstream port on my Thunderbolt dock is in an awkward location, so it was a hassle to swap the plug out between my Mac and Windows tower. This cable made it simple to use a cable tie on the female end around my monitor arm with the two host cords. Now it’s incredibly quick and easy to swap the cables at the extension end, saving the ports on my dock and computers from wear and tear.
