Compact and Works Well
This soldering iron kit comes with the basic accessories and materials required for a beginner to perform the soldering work. Other than the soldering iron, there are total 6 different soldering tips, 1 roll of solder wire, 1 solder wick, 1 soldering paste, 1 tweezers and a stand with sponge. Moreover, a streamlined user manual has been provided. The soldering iron has100W power and adopts ceramic core heating element that can quickly heat up to the set temperature within a minute. This soldering iron has a penlike design. It has heat-proof and non-slip rubber sleeve at the holding part to enhance safety and comfort grip. It is also compact and lightweight. It’s portable and suitable for DIY projects such as repairing of appliances and welding circuit board etc. Moreover, there is a LED digital display on the soldering iron’s handle. It not solely displays the temperature but also assists in the process of settings such as switching units of temperature, changing the welding temperature and setting password. I’m surprised it can set a password for child lock purpose. The exchangeable soldering tip allows using suitable tip on various materials and soldering needs. Although the stand is a bit simple and small, this soldering iron kit works well on most small DIY projects. It’s really suitable for beginner. Even it is seldom to perform soldering works, it’s still good to acquire it as a standby tool at home with an affordable low cost.

Nice, compact soldering kit. Great for the GO box
When you need a small, lightweight iron and soldering supplies, this is a great starter kit.It gives you everything you need to get started, including solder, rosin and an assortment of tips.It heats up quickly and claims 100W performance. I'm a little skeptical of that claim for large heating needs - such as RF connectors, but it works well on small projects.I loke the temperature display in the handle for tuning to specific solder types - such as lead-free, and for delicate work where you heat needs are less.

Actually impressed by this soldering iron
Item Reviewed: Soldering Iron Kit, 100W Soldering Gun with LED Digital DisplayPros:Reaches temperature quicklyHolds temperature wellEasy to swap tipsPretty easy to programCons:Stand is barely sufficientI'm actually impressed by this. It's a $16USD (at the time of this review) soldering iron that performed better than I expected. I liked the digital display tracking the temperature so I knew when it was ready to use. Additionally, the ability to adjust the operating temperature up or down is a nice feature to have, especially when dealing with some stubborn soldering joints. It's comfortable to use, at least for the short duration I needed it. I used to do soldering in HS (late 90's) and I've been missing the activity. That, and I needed a soldering iron to fix a part in my truck (which I haven't gotten to yet), so having this helps out. I did a little tooling around with an old project and this soldering iron performed well, especially being able to switch tips for different needs. For the price and the accessories as part of this kit, you can't go wrong having this soldering iron for small projects and the occasional need. I wouldn't recommend it for professional use, but maintained well it could probably hold up decently well.

Great Starter Kit
I'm a DIY type of person who wants to try everything, including a little soldering when needed. I've been looking for a good soldering iron kit, and this fit the bill. I was able to repair a broken power connection in a laptop, which was the immediate problem I was trying to solve.I do like that the heat is controlled digitally, so you can know that you've got the right temp. The rest of the kit has all the basics I needed to get started out of the box -- a stand, different tips, some solder -- and it all seems reasonably made.I'm happy and am looking forward to getting some project kits and getting better at this.

Should work for most no-lead electrical solders
The soldering iron in this kit heats to the set temperature rather quickly, and its setting and readout have a calibrate function, useful if you have a reference to detect readout error. For light hobby solder work, this iron and accessories include all that's typically needed at a surprisingly low price of around fifteen dollars. At this price, it's not surprising that the iron is not grounded (tip to ground plug prong). The plastic stand with a recess to hold the wet tip-wiping sponge (included) has a chrome wire support made to keep the hot iron up and away from the work surface, but it is minimalistic, and leaves the iron exposed to careless fingers, hands, etc. (Cooling of the iron takes longer than heating.) The wire "bail" was also tricky to raise/lower as it interlocked with the base plastic (which honestly looks to me like Bakelite or similar). The kit comes with a total of six different tips for varying needs of soldering/desoldering and maybe some plastic melting (adjustable temperature cannot be set below 180 C). A good starter supply of (tin-lead) rosin-core solder and generous container of flux is included, along with a little desoldering wick and metal tweezers for positioning/holding hot parts.
