Formula 1 615026 Carnauba Paste Wax (230 g)

The product did what exactly it claimed. It had been 4 years since I bought my new car, and since then it has never been waxed or polished, just regular washes. There were few very light scratches to the paint finish, so I thought to get it waxed and polished. Later after seeing few you tube videos I decided to do it myself... So I bought formula one wax, I wanted paste wax and not a liquid wax because I wanted to get rid of those light scratches. So I first washed my car with car shampoo and pressure washer, then I rubbed down the entire car metal body with clay bar to get rid of any contaminant. Then washed again with the shampoo and once dried started applying the wax. Finally once entire body was applied wax, I left it for around 25 mins...and buffed them with dry microfiber cloth, I used 2 clothes, one to remove the wax and other cloth to buff. Though the entire process took me 5 hours the outcome was amazing...all the marks that were there on the clear coat had vanished and the car looked as good as new, remember I am not talking about any na ks beyond the clear coat. Water beeding property is yet to be tested.. being a dark colour (granite grey) car there is an enhanced depth of colour and shine to the car paint now...if you have time to spare and energy to invest, please go ahead, this is an amazing product.

Nothing beats a deep, wet Carnauba shine. "Hazing" or drying is key. Apply thin and let it dry for 3-5 minutes but in the shade. After that, it will easily rub off to a great shine. Trying to wipe off too early will give you a bad experience as the still-wet product will be too gummy and you will have to use too much effort to buff it off. Trust the product and yourself and wait! Avoid putting it on the trim (plastic and rubber parts) as it leaves a white residue. Chrome or metal is ok but applying on them is not really advised. Use specialised products for trim and metal. I dilute the liquid wax with a little water (the only liquid wax I know that mixes readily with water) in a 30 ml spray bottle (it gives a finer and broader spray than a 100 ml bottle) and use it as a spray wax! Just spray, wait and wipe off! I do not spread or wipe on the product with a microfibre cloth after spraying to eliminate the most time consuming and tedious/tiring step. I have a huge luxury sedan but waxing is done in less than 10 minutes with minimum effort. Monthly waxing is ideal but you'll be tempted to wax every week due to the convenience of my trick! Try and control yourself as there is such a thing as overwaxing! Fight the urge and only wax every 2 weeks! My bottle is better than using say Formula 1 spray wax as that is a "quick wax" and less durable. My trick uses only a tiny amount of water (5-10 ml; most of the work of turning it into a fine spray wax is done by the spray nozzle) which allows the use of the more durable and shiny liquid wax. UV protection (to prevent paint fading) is also greater than a prepackaged spray wax.

A LITTLE PREVIEW: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Had been searching for a suitable wax for my car , read a lot of reviews and finally locked onto only paste waxes as they are supposed to be more durable than those liquid ones,finally had to decide between the Turtle super hard shell wax,The new turtle ice wax & the all time favorite, the Formula 1 Carnauba paste wax. Read turtle super hard wax had issues when wiping it off,ice version was way too costly for its actual worth..so the final judgment settled in favor of the Formula 1 carnauba paste wax. The pack came with a foam pad included in the box.The paste application was a cake walk..had prepped my car for it after neatly washing it with the armor wash and wax and drying it completely. I had read certain precautions earlier in certain Auto forums regarding its application procedure that it.. 1.Had to be kept in shade for application (no harm actually), 2.Had to be applied in straight lines rather than circles, 3.Had to be applied in sections as small as 2 sq.feet, 4.Had to be dried 45 minutes before buffing with a micro fibre cloth, 5.The paste gets stuck in cracks & crevices of the car body and is a pain to remove it..etc..etc HOWEVER... In My Experience : xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx 1.I had the car washed & clean and made sure that the surface was clean of dust and debris while waxing to avoid scratching it during the process. 2.I initially parked in shade but by the time it fully dried after wash..it was half under sunlight. Didn't bother me a bit. 3.I applied the wax in circles to press fill the minor swirl marks over the car chassis,applied in thin layers and evenly spread it..chose large sections like a door in a shot,let it dry for 5 minutes at max.and then buffed it manually with a fine micro fibre cloth. The shine and lustre achieved was awesome.The shiny waxy layer aspires admiration & gives a confident lasting feel unlike the ordinary shine attained after a simple wash. I Definitely love it. Very easy to apply and wipe clean even for an Average Joe. Highly recommended for every vehicle Owner.

Used it to polish 8 yr old car

Cire vraiment brillante, en plus facile à enlever elle ne laisse aucune trace . Bon ça n enleve pas les rayures ou un peu mais sur ma porsche une fois appliqué le rendu est vraiment nickel je recommande fortement d ailleurs j'en ai pris un autre !!!😊😊

I wish I had this product when I had a previous vehicle that had a chrome exhaust! (which was hard to keep from turning black) I put this Formula 1 Metal Cleaner/Polish on the chrome wheels of my one vehicle and on my other vehicle which has aluminum wheels. It took about 15-20 minutes total to apply the polish, then come back and remove it with a mircofiber cloth. I did use a power washer and car mit to clean the wheels prior to application, like I always do when I wash my car. The results after using this polish were phenomenal. The wheels really shine, and feel smooth, so I can see how brake dust will not be a problem going forward. The vehicle with the chrome wheels also has chrome on the mirrors, so I applied this product to that as well. Wow, what a shine! The included applicator is a very nice touch. My initial order did not include the applicator, so it must have fallen off during Amazon packaging, as other items came in the same box, but the applicator was no where to be found. A call to Amazon customer service, and they sent a replacement immediately, and I had to return the original item. Formula 1 really should have a plastic seal holding the applicator in. The second one arrived intact, but still no plastic seal. I didn't feel it was worth dinging a star for this, but it is a con to keep in mind nonetheless. You really use this sparingly, so this will last an incredibly long time. I imagine it will dry up/expire before I get to using all of the product. It is made in the USA! Glad to see that.

Love this product 💯 easy to apply even in heavy application, drys relatively quick. Give us a nice glossy finish. Non-oily not sticky.
