The touch-sensor continuous dimming and color temperature selection capability of the LED's lets you select the optimum kind of light and color temperature for your needs. And it runs COOL!!! GREAT! After actually using it for awhile, I just can't say enough good things about this little gem of a magnifier lamp. BUY ONE (or 3 like me) - YOU WON"T BE DISAPPOINTED!

I started my desk lamp search almost one year ago because I was planning to move and buy a new desk. I found this one when I was about ready to buy another LED lamp, and then I saw this one--this lamp was a no-brainer. I am a writer and I use fountain pens. The number of light modes, ease of changing light brightness, and magnification of this lamp are more than I hoped to get in a lamp for this price. The clamp is firm and easy to use. I love this lamp and hope it lasts a long, long time!

I haven’t had this for long, a little over a month but the weight of the package surprised me (in a good way). It was weighty, well constructed, fairly easy to adjust and move and provided both light and magnification. It does what the item listing says it will do and its quality seems above average even before you factor in the price. Honestly, this was better than expected when I ordered it but my expectations weren’t that high. However, it is actually very solid even if your expectations were higher than mine. Please don’t expect this to perform, function or have the build quality of a $100 Palomino lighted, articulating magnifying setup but it is a better value and performer than the $60 or $40 Harbor Freight CFL-based magnifying system. Not that the Harbor Freight item is of poor quality or performs below expectations, because it doesn’t. It is a well made piece of kit only with a CFL ring light. To be fair, the Harbor Freight item is probably better built and with slightly heavier-duty construction but it isn’t so much better that I would pay $20-$30 more for them. This is a solid piece of gear and one I use far more than my 22MP Sony iMX industrial inspection camera and 22” monitor. Mainly because the autofocus in my eyes works better than the autofocus in the Sony plus it takes longer to setup especially if you only have a few joints to touch-up or inspect. For less than $20 at the time of this review, I find it a hard to imagine there is much better than this available new. I don’t know how long it will last or if the construction will hold up over the years but if it doesn’t, it should lend itself to a quick and worthwhile repair (or attempt).

It is a nice lamp. Very attractive. Takes up minimal space and great illumination. Only drawback is not able to replace bulb.

Only Not long enough

There is a clip missing! The counterweight bracket isn't big enough or heavy enough. The light falls over easily. The clips are shallow and only hold perfectly flat edges. There are so many design flaws with this product that I wish I had read the product description more carefully. I'm going to return it immediately. Avoid!

This is the third or fourth one of these I've had. The on/off switches on the previous models I've had all failed. The switches were located in a housing that was in-line with the power cord. The failure was because the switches had to be actuated with my thumbnail (it wouldn't switch with just a push with my thumb). That caused the rubber over the switch to rupture, exposing metal parts. I believe this to be a safety hazard. I really like this style of lamp! It is lightweight, easy to maneuver, and has good features! It does what I need it to do. The price is always right (affordable) so that is why I keep replacing them. The (Touch) buttons on this one are located near the light on the light housing, instead of switches located in the power cord. So much easier to use!!! I don't know if the lamps I've previously owned are all made by the same manufacturer, and they improved it or if it is a different manufacturer. One can't go wrong with this one!

Got this for my sewing table and it’s perfect. I love that it’s very adjustable, you can change the color from a few different bright whites to a warm light and the brightness is also adjustable. The magnifying glass portion is a great size, big enough to view projects and I love that I can swivel it out of the way when I don’t need it. It was super easy to set up, is very stable and is easily one of the items I use most in my craft room.
