I have a really old mountain bike that hasn't gotten much use in the last 10 years. Now that both our kids are on bikes, I needed to dust the ol' Trek off to ride with them. My older trigger shifters were locked up, but I was able to get it in a gear that made it easier to ride along.I purchased this to upgrade one to make it more useful. Installation was simple, and has plenty of cable to fit any bike. It operates nicely, but now I have to change out the left side!One bit of advice. Use a drop or two of super glue on the end of the cable to keep the wired from fraying. I didn't do this and ended up with some loose wired I had to snip off and then carefully feed it through everything to prevent snags. I wish I would have thought of the glue first!

I'm not sure why the branding on this is for "Relwears" but the product shown and that I received is a Shimano Revoshift 7 speed shifter, which is exactly what I needed to replace the same model that was worn. The shifter comes complete with an unshielded cable (if you're replacing an older shifter you may want to consider replacing the shield/sheath as well in case there's rust/other buildup inside) and an "end cap" that clamps onto the end of the cable after attaching it to your derailleur. There's a QR code for detailed instructions which, along with how-to videos to install and setup are easily found in various spots online. Once installed, shifting was smooth and much better than the worn unit it replaced!
