Pair KICKER 45KM44 4" 150 Watt Weatherproof Marine Speakers KM4

Do NOT buy these!!! I make Bluetooth speaker boxes for people and have used these for a long time, but a few months ago, I ordered about 15 sets of these. Out of the 10 I have sent out, 8 sets have came back blown within the first 2 hours of use. And this is with multiple types of amps, so the amplifiers aren’t the culprit. It’s pretty pathetic when 8/10 of these sets have blown from minimal use! Now I have 5 brand new sets of these that I can’t use for fear of them blowing! The seller won’t do anything to remedy the situation either. Will not be buying these again!!

One of the speakers do not work. The tweeter works, but the speaker (cone) does not. Pushing on the cone will make it work, but when you let off pressure, the cone quits working. Also pushing on the wire where it connects will engage the cone to start working. Saw many of these same complaints. Called kicker and they have a 1 yr warranty, sent me a RA# but you have to pay for shipping and send it in before they send a replacement.Update. I paid the shipping to have the speakers sent back to Kicker and they sent a new pair a few days later with no hassle This pair worked correctly for the past few months. Hopefully they will hold up.Update#2: speaker worked for about 6 months, then quit working again. Exact same problem as above. I even broke out the voltmeter, checked continuity, polarity, etc. to ensure it wasn't an installation error. Again, called Kicker, got RA#, paid for shipping back, and got a new one within a week. 1yr warranty ends in Aug 21 so hopefully no more issues (or this one blows before then for another swap). The other speaker I got in the original set still works great. Weird how they are hit or miss like all the other reviews. They sound great and give plenty of sound from the back of the boat.

The 1st pair of these speakers I received had one bad speaker it crackled from the beginning. However Creative Audio was very easy to work with and they shipped me out a new pair of speakers. I installed them in a Honda Pioneer 1000 with a Boss MGR350 radio. They work well enough. Definitely not a boom box stup but I don't need one so they are acceptable.

Zero Stars Kicker has a quality problem. I ordered 4 sets of theses from different sellers. Every set had one speaker that did not work. I will not buy another Kicker product. I was able to return 3 of the 4 sets due to time of return. I will be moving on to another brand. I still have a set installed and it’s will be trash soon as only one speaker is working. Unfortunately waste of my hard worked earned money.

Not a big fan of the grille design. But the sensitivity and overall sound quality are much better then the Fusion 4 inch speakers. I had to replace the latter as they were also falling apart.But keep in mind these are small speakers and you cannot expect 12 inch sound from a 4 inch speaker.

Awesome speaker for the price and they sounds great. I needed something small and light weight to put on my boat bimini top and these speakers were perfect for the job.

Much like others on here have complained about . . . one speaker worked fine while the other had a intermittent connection where the wire is attached to the back of the speaker. Pushing on the heat shrink lightly at the connection makes the speaker work, but as soon as you remove your fingers it stops working. Contacted Kicker to see if they will try to keep me as a customer. Will update later.

I have bought two pair now and they come blown from the factory the wires that connect the voice coil are loose.

Like-Sound quality. Crisp and clear and far better bass response than I remotely expected. They are NOT 12 inch subs but the bass response was quite satisfying for 4 inch speakers.Dislike-The fact that the compatible pod enclosures were twice as expensive as the actual speakers.Overall. Very satisfied so far. We shall how they handle weather and assess durability as times goes by.

Speakers packed very well & received within the time frame specified. Was purchased as a gift & the recipient can hardly wait to install them in their boat. Thanks so much!
