Great Watch with Solar power
I am a watch guy with a modest collection of quartz and automatic watches. One watch on my grail list has been a solar-powered movement. I unpacked a beautiful, affordable solar watch and checked that box today. What do I like the best? Well, for starters, the solar movement. It was running when I opened the box, confirming (at least in theory) that a full charge would let the watch run for 6 months without light. Cool! And, nicely enough, the watchmaker provides the name and model number of the battery if it ever needs replacement. I like that a lot!Second is the overall style. It has a pilot/diver vibe with a black dial, a knurled unidirectional bezel, and generous lume in the hour and minute hands. Overall, this watch is easily read during the day and in low/no-light conditions.Third is the size. The case measures 43 mm, and the strap measures 22 mm. It looks great on the wrist, and the curved lugs allow the watch to drape nicely, providing a secure and comfortable fit.The movement has a hacking ( aka stop-seconds) function. No, that doesn't mean it can break into a secure computer system; it means that when you pull the crown to the time-setting position, the second hand stops. This function was developed for the military in WWI to synchronize infantry movements and artillery barrages. It's a little thing, but few of my watches have the feature. The strap is nicely made with precision stitching. It is very stiff, so it will take some time to break it in.Last but not least is the list of cities engraved into the bezel. To use it, you align the city nearest to your time zone on the hour hand. To determine the time elsewhere, look at the city and the corresponding hour marker on the watch. One note of caution. The watchmaker states that the timepiece has a water resistance depth of 50 m. I would not dive or swim with the watch or expose it to water. Why? Because the crown doesn't screw down. I am sure the company has gaskets around the stem, but without a screw-down crown, you are taking a chance by getting it wet.I heartily recommend this unique timepiece. It is an excellent addition to my collection, and I look forward to years of uninterrupted timekeeping.

Good Quality but Lack of Light
This is actually a very comfortable and well made watch, and has become my favorite everyday wear. The absolutely only reason I gave this 3 stars over 4/5 stars is due to its lack of a light. It does come with large glow in the dark hands, but even with a 1000 lume flashlight shining directly on it for 15 minutes I couldn't get them to glow significantly enough for my aging eyes to see the hands for more than 10 minutes in the dark. This means the watch will be great for normally everyday wear, and even extensive outdoor activities in the summer when their is a lot more daylight. It also means it will see limited wear during outdoor activities in the winter. Which is too bad as the solar charging feature would make this an ideal outdoor activity watch.Overall this is an excellent watch, especially for the sub $100 price, and if the one lack of a light isn't a factor for you then I definitely recommend.

High style
I have gotten more compliments on this watch than any of my other ones. The dial is accurate and the bezel is of very high quality. Easy to read and the band is a soft yet sturdy leather. I love the dial face and the color. This is a must get.

Great Value. Timezones wrong.
I like the size, simplicity, and solar charging of this watch. It's a great field watch.I have 2 issues:1. The crown is a little too big2. The worldtime cities printed on the rotating bezel are in reverse order. For example, look at "London" and then look at "Paris". Paris shows 1 hour behind London when in fact, Paris is 1 hour ahead of London time.Other than that, I enjoy the watch.

Reliable Solar Powered Watch
After using this watch for awhile, I can attest to the solar power battery working flawlessly. The watch does require a little light, or light intensity to keep ticking. For example, light in a room vs. lighting outside either a cloudy day or in direct sunlight will determine how fast the watch will charge.North Edge watch comes with an instruction manual, but it really isn't needed considering their is 1 crown to operate. Pull the crown out to stop the watch, push it in and it begins to work. It's really that simple.I love the names of the cities on the bezel (outer ring), that can be turned/rotated to your own liking. The dial is your basic hour, minute, and seconds hands on the watch. It is a very quiet watch too, I cannot hear the ticking even up close beside my ear.The strap is nice, it has a rubber inside and a canvas like outside to it. You could get this wet, but it is always preferred to keep a watch dry for longevity.Very happy overall with this watch. Clear mineral glass, very quiet, and isn't overly large. It looks nice on my wrist!

Not A Pilot Watch
Dark as a coal mine with miserable, short lasting (think seconds) lume, this isn't what it touts to be.With large crown, hour markers noting minutes past the hour, and useless rotating bezel with major cities (but not Moscow), this is a pretender.Unduly thick (14.5mm) and heavy (84.5 grams), the positive attributes are that it's solar, keeps excellent time, has quick release straps, and is attractive on the wrist. The cardinal virtues of a true pilot watch are luminosity and useful functions. This lacks both.
