For the price this is a great toy. It doesn’t feel very durable but my 4 year olds been playing with it in the garden along with all his other heavy equipment for months and it is still in one piece. It’s not really going to dig into hard packed dirt but it moves loose soil around. It’s not his favorite dirt moving toy, it’s not even his favorite backhoe but he shrieked with joy when I handed it to him and he still plays with it. It pushes properly and feels smooth on the ground, usually in this price range you get wonky wheels, not the case with this one. For the money it’s worth it just as a little non occasion gift. I would say 100% acceptable birthday present for your child to bring to a birthday party as well. I am very happy with this purchase.

My kid loves playing with it. it works as a bull dozer or a backhoe. It hasn't fallen apart yet, so I'll have to see how long this last in a future review.

My little boy wanted nothing more than a backhoe for his birthday. I hoped this would meet his high expectations and it exceeded them! He loves using the outriggers for more stability. The noises it makes are cute. It makes noise when you drive it but no off/on button so sometimes if we don’t put it away just right in toy baskets it will make some sounds randomly as toys shift. Such a cute toy and is also holding up to the daily job site work we have going on through our entire house!!

Has a lot of moving parts like a real backhoe and my son loves playing with it. Couldn’t get it to make noise after the plastic tab was removed.

If I could give this backhoe six stars I would. I don’t know what made me think I could dig a small in-ground pool by hand but suffice it to say, I was wrong. When this thing showed up it made short work of what would have taken me weeks. Now my kids are playing in the pool and I’ve got time on my hands for finishing my memoir. Highly recommended.

It’s a cool little truck. My son and nephew both love that it makes the sound when you push the top- actually my nephew has tried stealing the tractor from our house when he comes over sometimes. Except, the front bucket of the tractor has fallen off many times. Luckily it’s an easy clip back on piece, but now it’s lost. Still playable though! I’d say for the quality, it should be a couple dollars less.

My almost 4 year old granddaughter loves this toy. She can put things in the bucket and move the truck around. The backhoe part also works well. We have purchased several Barratt trucks and they have all been a hit
