Bought for making cushion covers and bag making but very flimsy. Will probably use for something that does not have to be so robust. They look like they will easily split

Have you ever thought about who makes zips? Only a very few companies, and SBS together with YKK dominate the market. So what you are getting is exactly as good a zip as you would get on a large portion of your closet contents. So yes, these are great value, and a very good way to buy zips if you are a dressmaker or tailor. I have a pack each of various sizes, so I just go to the bix and sort out the nearest colour without having to traipse round shops in questionable lighting, hoping they have the right colour in stock! Plus its a great value way of buy the zips too, so it doesnt matter too much if there are a few colours I dont need, I can always pass them on to friends or charity.As these are invisible zips, you do really need a special invisible zip foot for your sewing machine, but they are pretty cheap, and there are some great you tube videos showing you how to use them for perfect results.
