Acer USB C Hub with 4K HDMI, 9-in-1 Laptop Docking Station with 1080P VGA

This arrived in good time. It was small enough to fit through the letterbox. It works well.

I’ve been using this over 12 months now and it’s worked faultlessly. It’s a great bit of kit and is currently connected to a mouse, keyboard, phone charger and second screen

The design is good and quite light-weight. It's got a nice quality and it seems quite functional. Currently it has no use connectng my monitor to a chromebook. It's quite fast however when I unplug the power, the item turns off for about 5 seconds.

All looks good, solid build

Just what I needed to fit with my new laptop needing a docking hub to fit a USB-C Thunderbolt interface.

The Speedy Parts > Solid build: This hub feels sturdy and well-made. > Sleek design: The silver-grey colour and compact size look great on my desk. > Fast connections: The three USB-A 3.1 ports are fast transferring files. Handy also for connecting external drives. > Gigabit Ethernet port for fast internet speeds. > PD 100W charging port: A very handy feature to recharge a laptop battery using a PD charger connected to the hub. > SD and microSD card slots: These are always handy for photographers and videographers like myself. The Quirky Parts = VGA in 2024? While the VGA port might be useful for older projectors or Power-Point presentations, the 1080p 30Hz refresh rate feels outdated. Most displays these days handle higher resolutions and refresh rates. = Rocking on the edge: The rounded edges, while aesthetically pleasing, make the hub wobble slightly when plugging in cables. It's not a big concern, but worth noting nonetheless. The Odd Parts < Limited 4K HDMI: The 4K@30Hz output on the HDMI port is another head-scratcher in today's world. If you want a smooth 4K experience for movies or gaming, look elsewhere. In Use Effortless setup! Windows 11 instantly recognised the Acer hub. I tested each port, starting with the TF card reader, popped in a TF card, bingo! Files popped up in Explorer. Next, the Ethernet port: cable in, Wi-Fi off, Zap! Connected to the Internet. Next I tried the PD charging port by connecting a 20W PD charger to the hub. I was expecting the battery to begin charging but all I could get was a notification from Windows stating “PC isn’t charging. Use the recommended charger and cable”. Finally, the USB 3.1 ports: Plugged in a memory stick, read the file list and copied files to my laptop - it’s quick and simple. Everything worked as it should, except the charging port. The Verdict The Acer USB-C hub is a sturdy, techie-silver grey aluminium encased hub with plenty to offer. appealing, and the rounded edges are definitely a nice touch - It doesn't scream "bulky adapter," which is always a plus. It offers a convenient mix of ports and fast connections in a stylish package. However, the low-spec VGA and 4K@30Hz seems a bit odd, and charging my laptop through the hub didn’t work . If you need basic expansion and don't mind the occasional wobble, it's a decent option, but for future-proof connectivity and smooth high-resolution visuals, you might want to explore other options.

I saw this on the web and realised how useful it would be to have a universal connector. This one fits the bill exactly. It is very versatile and compact and with a nice appearance. Ordering was easy and the item arrived very quickly.

Helpful with the Mac. Works perfectly even with more connections inside. Totally recommend!

I was looking for an RJ45 connector. I bought this one because it has all the other ports that my laptop doesn’t have. The RJ45 to LAN connector works fine.

Lightweight, versatile docking station for my Chromebook. Supports an external monitor via HDMI or VGA, has SD and microSD slots, USB-A ports, and RJ-45 Ethernet port for wired Ethernet. All works like it should, except for occasional blanking on the HDMI. At first I thought this might be a cable or monitor issue, but the symptom occurs on two different monitors and two different HDMI cables. Sometimes when it loses sync it blanks the screen for a few seconds and then comes back. Sometimes after blanking it goes into a "snow mode". Shutting down the monitor or disconnecting the HDMI input will usually (97%) restore the display after "snow mode". I have a second docking station by another vendor with very similar features and form factor, and I never have any blanking issues with it and either of the monitors or HDMI cables. If it weren't for the random blanking of the screen this gem would get 5 stars for the value of its features. I'm using it as I type this review. It gets the job done, except for about 5 to 10 seconds per hour when the screen goes blank. It may also be the case that when it "blanks" it also loses connection with storage devices plugged into the SD slot or USB-A ports. I experienced some glitches with spontaneous disconnections earlier, but so far have not performed tests to verify and isolate the cause of those disconnections. Aug 2026 update: Gave this a second chance after my other hub had problems. All of the blanking behavior has vanished. Works perfectly now. The only thing that has changed is software updates to the Chromebook I use it with. So perhaps this was a software compatibility issue all along. Changed to 5 stars.

Fa il suo, funziona molto bene, non ho riscontrato problemi. Mi serviva solo un adattatore Ethernet, ma da questa necessità ho preferito comprare un adattatore che avesse già tutto, per qualsiasi altra eventualità futura. Dispone di: Ethernet, VGA, 3 porte USB, HDMI, microSD, SD, Type-C. La porta Type-C permette anche di far passare la ricarica, quindi si collega il caricabatterie all'adattatore e quest'ultimo al PC. È completamente in alluminio.

its have problem when you use all USB ports , it become slow
