Along with piano, I’ve always wanted to learn how to play guitar. It’s just such a nice sound and there are quite a variety of options for a model. The fingers position is still what I struggle the most with but this guide has great references on how to practice this. I’m definitely still in the beginner phase so it was a very user friendly book. It certainly helped me with reading how to read the actual music. I also struggle a lot a bit with the tuning of the guitar. While I know there’s so much reading a book can help with learning sounds, I still thought the explanations on how to recognize tunes was very well done. This is a great gift as well for anyone wishing to start learning how to play.

Even if you don’t know what style you want to play, you’ll still learn a lot. It explains things like A to D minor change and how to practice four chord changes. The glossary is also a good place to focus if you’re just starting out since it explains terms like legato and slur. Overall, I think a lot of guitar players would get a lot out of this guide.

It starts with the basics of the guitar to more complex songs and techniques. I appreciated the section of the different guitars and how to choose the appropriate one for yourself. I also enjoyed all of the visual aids that are throughout the book that helpful for me when it comes to learning.

Each of the pages contains many pictures that are helpful to follow and I really enjoyed figuring out what was in this book. There was a lot to learn and I think this would be good for any age of person looking to learn how to play this instrument. I really enjoyed it.
