Excellent Wall mounted fan!
Review for Senelux 16 inch wall mounted Fan. Previously used a desktop fan but was limited to where it could be placed and I was unable to get it pointed directly where needed. I also used a floor standing pedestal fan but in my small office, the only option was to have to close to my head which felt like I had my head out of a moving car window. Enter the Senelux wall mounted fan.. The build quality is is excellent (apart from the remote control, which is cheap), it's constructed mostly out of metal, it has 5 blades so can move a lot of air even on the lowest setting. In comparison to the cheap plastic fans you buy from the supermarket, this is far superior. The fan blades (as one piece) along with the front/rear fan grilles had to be fitted with supplied screws. The supplied instructions were clear however it was quite obvious how it's meant to be assembled. Also, as part of the installation, two holes will need to be drilled in the wall as the fan is mounted with two screws. Being of metal construction, the fan has some weight to it. It is supplied with mounting screws/plugs but I decided to use bigger 8x40mm screws/plugs instead of the smaller ones supplied. I have installed the fan quite close to the ceiling yet even on the lowest setting, it creates a nice breeze. I was concerned the fan would not be able to be tilted in a satisfactory downward direction as my desk and chair are directly below, but it wasn't a problem at all as it can be positioned practically horizontally. As for functionality, the fan has all the relevant controls you'd expect in a fan and the remote control enables you to control all the functions. I've found the lowest fan speed is just fine for me so I think I'll mostly only ever be using the on/off button. Whilst I think this is an excellent item and great to see it's from a Liverpool based company, I do think there could be a few slight improvements: 1. A longer power cable and it made to exit the control panel housing at the base rather than the top. In my use case it's installed quite high up on the wall, the power cable doesn't reach to the floor and I've had to use an extension cable. Thankfully the plug is hidden behind a desk in my case but if there was nothing in front to hide it, it would look very unsightly. 2. A better quality remote control. The one supplied is very cheap quality and definitely doesn't match the quality of the fan itself. Maybe have a higher quality one available to purchase as an accessory? 3. Maybe a 'smart' version of the fan that can be integrated within a smart home, use with Alexa etc. (could have a simple zigbee controller built in or something). A remote control would be of little relevance if so. Despite there being a couple of minor areas that could in my opinion be improved, I still think it's a quality item and warrants 5 stars. If you're considering purchasing a wall mounted fan, no need to consider any longer, you've found the right one ;)

Good quality Fan
Much quieter and more powerful than my old fan. Easy to assemble build quality is very good. Handy remote control instead of getting up to switching on and off. Only thing I donโt like illumination light on fan panel at night time too bright. Iโm getting around to put some thing on to reduce that.

Great Fan but not epilepsy friendly!
I do love this fan. And itโs so good that my partner did a work around for me so I didnโt have to return it. Heโs a good egg bless him. Anyway before I say the good stuff Il go into some of the problems Iโve had and explain why weโve turned it into a arts and crafts project. At the base there are quite bright blue lights that donโt go off after youโve selected mode and speed. They are very bright and when the blade passes infront of it it appears like itโs flashing. A big hazard for us epileptics. But even if it washโs hazard it wouldnโt be great in a dark room. It would probably lights up the room and Iโm guessing make the flashing more prominent. So my partner try to cover the lights. Sharpies wasnโt enough or even duct tape. And I really didnโt want to send it back as itโs so good. So we used my concert glasses/goggles. No lights is betting through those babies. But coz weโve done that weโve blocked the sensor Atleast for the most part. I have to hold the remote underneath and slightly to the side. donโt mind tho. My partner did have a nightmare putting it up as there were wires covering where you have to screw it to the wall. They are thick wires and not easily moveable. So overall there wa a lot of effin and Jeffin. Now for the good stuff. I love it m, believe it or not. I didnโt want to send it back. So glad the work around worked. As much as it was a hassle itโs worth it. The Oscillating speed is perfect. It doesnโt zoom by. It has a good wide spread coverage. Itโs very strong and not overly noisy. Itโs a nice white noise to go to sleep to. The cable is a fare size. The front grid is very easy to get off to clean. Itโs not gonna be taking ages. Bish bash bosh and itโs done. So whilst it has some cons it has many pros and Iโm glad I was able to keep hold. My partner is amazing. Happy shopping folks

Badly designed.
It seems like a nice fan, good airflow and very quiet, but a number of design faults. A/ the two screw hanger holes are directly behind the power and motor cables. This makes marking for drilling, never mind the actual screwing in place very difficult. This is compounded by the screw heads provided are slightly to large for these holes. B/ the screw securing the fan blade assembly is obscured by one of the blades itself. Making it very difficult to tighten without bending the aluminium blade, which would probably be fatal for the assembly as it would make it unbalanced. C/ a ghastly membrane type remote control. The buttons โbounceโ switching it both on and off in one press. Plus, after a lifetime in the electronics industry, Iโm pretty certain that the top membrane will delaminate from the remote within a year, and sooner if it gets wet or heated in direct sunlight. Iโm seriously disappointed, after spending a lot more from a Far Eastern unit that seized after a year,( and now has magically disappeared off the Amazon listing and reappeared under another name -so no guarantee) So tired of shoddy products/designs. And this Senelux model got a 9.8/10 rating on the net. Who paid for that? ๐ Update: the motor seized this evening, so lasted 7months, far less than even the cheap and cheerful Geepas/Daewoo. I grant you it shifted a good volume of air when working, but I had rather hoped it would last more than one summer.

OK wall fan for the money, but way to loud.
Moves alot of air but vibrates alot and the fan noise isnt constant, tone keeps changing making it terrible for sleeping and white noise. build quality seems ok but... Back of the fan's wall mount, badly needs some foam to reduce vibration. Fan blades also havent been balanced very well. LED's on control panel are way to bright. A drill hole template in the manual would of been helpful.

Terrible Vibration Fan Noise
This is just the noisiest fan I have ever had, it is fitted to my bedroom brick and plaster wall which adjoins my neighbours (terraced house) and vibrates so much my neighbour asked me what the low pitched vibration humming noise was coming from my house at night, so we investigated turning it on and listening in his house and it was this fan, even though I have fitted an additional rubber/foam pad underneath the mounting plate to try and stop the noise it is still terrible, the blade must be really poorly made and imbalanced, the fan shakes wildly when running at any speed and the wind noise generated by the blade is loud, I have chaecked the blade it not bent or damaged or mishaped but can see no fault, previously I have always bought cheap plastic wall fans, but thought I would try this as I thought it would be better quality and was more aesthetically pleasing but wish I hadn't bought it now.
