Nice outboard motor for the price
Relatively light and easy to mount/remove from the boat or motor stand for one person.It has very smooth movement from the throttle operation to steering it to starting it. Everything was snug, no slop or free play yet moved with ease.I put the choke in start, 2 pulls and placed it in run...started on the first pull after that the rest of the day.It runs on straight gas, no mixing oil. They recommend mid grade (89) or super (91) unleaded. I went super and it runs great.This is shipped dry so it's necessary to get both oil and gear lube that is marine grade for outboard motors before running it.The gear lube is added at the shaft cover by removing the propeller and the 2-5 mm hex screws. There are slots for w screwdriver to help pry it loose. Sealant is needed for reassembly. Takes less than 15 minutes.It's not terribly noisy, about as loud as a lawnmower.Overall it's a good motor that pushes my 11 foot jon boat nicely.
