Perfect For My Master Bathroom
The CZ1512 was very easy to install and performs well. I did a lot of searching and comparing and this unit was by far the best deal. Amazon also had the best price! The heater is rated at 1,500 watts which should give a bit over 5,000 BTU output. I assume it would be nearly 100% efficient. I removed the thermostat knob and covered the hole with the included plug. I then tied my heater wiring to a line voltage thermostat. This eliminated having to bend over to turn it on and off (or up and down). The thermostat I used was a Honeywell Home CT410B and is available on Amazon. Very happy with the purchase and can now get rid of my old "milkhouse" heater that was always in the way.

Not really a 1500 W heater.
I bought one of these 2 years ago and it worked perfectly for 1 year. Something happened, perhaps the arcing that others have written about. The fan still runs, but the unit did not heat up. When I took the heating unit out of the box in the wall, I noticed what looked like black electrical flame marks on the bottom of the wall box about where the wires are connected to the unit. I ordered another one. For a variety of reasons, I only just installed this new one 5 months or so after I purchased it. This new unit kept tripping the circuit breaker. I put the old one back in, fan works fine, no problem with the circuit breaker. Put the new one in again, carefully checking all connections, it trips the circuit breaker. On examining the new unit, and comparing it to the old one, there is a more liberal use of electrical tape in the vicinity of the connections, perhaps an effort to control the arcing? I also noticed burning/melting at the connection of the black wire to the heating control. Both were installed as 1500 W heaters. I clipped the wire making the new one 750 W and no more tripping the circuit breaker. I don't know, do you think it really wasn't designed to be a 1500 W heater? I wouldn't buy it again - spend a little more and buy something that will last.

Good customer service once i figured out how to reach them
Ordered this unit to replace a 20 year old unit from same manufacturer. didn't fit in the tiled wall opening perfectly but we made it work. First heater had an unconnected wire to fan which we didn't notice, and this caused the heater to overheat when turned on since fan wasn't turning. Once the wire was connected it worked fine, but blades were melted. Wrote two requests for help thru amazon.com channels, to no avail. finally found a number to contact Sylvane directly and they Immediately sent us a return authorization for the defective heater and we had the new one in two days. Very helpful, no questions asked, just on the ball about making things right. Heater works well to warm up our bathroom, and i would recommend to others.

Heats the bathroom!
My wife likes the bedroom cool, and I like the bathroom warm. So, rather than heating the entire upstairs, we use this wall heater in the bathroom. Problem solved!Edit 11/14/2018: This broke about a year ago. I tried contacting the manufacturer through their website with no luck. But I called back today, and now they are sending me a replacement! Cool! If it gets here and works, my review will go back to 5 stars.Edit 1/6/2023: I meant to get back to this sooner. After calling the company, they sent a replacement quickly back in 2018. It's now 2023, and it's still working. I've since added an Ecobee thermostat and a 120V relay to be able to control the bathroom temperature remotely and to be able to set a temperature. I'd recommend this!
