Plastic Drainage Channel Pack 1m Length (Pack of 1)

Having put this 6-pack of 1m plastic drainage channels through its paces to resolve persistent patio flooding, it has proven to be a remarkably effective and sturdy solution. Originally, a simple gravel drainage strip was running along the edge of the patio, but it just could not cope with heavy rainfall. Installing these channels completely turned things around. At around 92mm deep, they hold a substantial volume of water—far more than will ever come off my patio, making them a bit of overkill for my setup, but ideal if you need to manage high-water areas. They fit together nicely with a secure connection, ensuring no visible leaks escape from the joints. They are very well built and surprisingly tough—there is zero flex when standing directly on them, and the construction is solid enough that I would happily put them in my driveway where a car would go over them. The top grating clips securely into place and is effortless to remove when you need to clean out accumulated silt or leaves, snapping back on neatly afterwards. The installation process went smoothly, taking the run down the side of the paving and connecting it straight into a soakaway. Since getting them in place, the surface flooding has been completely eliminated. Beyond the functional drainage aspect, they also create a really neat, clean boundary line between the patio slab edge and the lawn.

Good the price

Really happy with this item. I didn’t get it to use as intended. Had to cut and play to cover an odd shaped soak away. Worked at treat and am definitely going order more.

Does the job

Great value, and equally as tough and well made as the top selling type, but virtually half the price. We fitted this to take away the excess water from our side drive, it was simple to fit and to connect to the nearby drain, the job was done in under a day and we now have no worries about the winter storms making life difficult.

A very nice addition to the garden. I had shingle down the back of the house. This looks alot better on the eye.
