Same as original
Idk what others are talking about. This is a genuine Google charger. Researched the manufacturer, philong is one of the Google pixel chargers manufacturers. I have another made by flextronics, also a google charger manufacturer. This one charges the same. Look the same. I have a pixel, pixel XL, and pixel 2 xl. Works on all three, rapid charging and all. Cord is the same as the original too. Really a great deal. Idk about others I read problems, but it has nothing to do with this product. Excellent product. Thank you.

If it's a copy then it's s a good one
My Pixel charging cable mysteriously disappeared and after frantically searching I decided to go ahead and order 2 more hoping they would be OEMs or a very good copy. These were 3ft instead of 6ft which is what I had, but they work. Both were individually wrapped in ziplock type bags with labels identifying them as Google products with specs. They arrived quickly and I tested them out on a Pixel and a Samsung. They fast charged just like my original.Ironically the next day I found my cord in the pet toy box where it had been claimed.I would reorder them again.

There was supposed to be an Earth-shattering kaboom!
My original Pixel is about two and a half years old and the battery doesn’t hold its charge as long as it used to. So I figured I’d order a second charger for work and plug it in during the day. In the picture this charger certainly looks like the one that came with the Pixel. But all the negative reviews made me worry. But I’m a risk taker and I really wanted another charger, so I decided to take my chances. The box that the item arrived in was very convincing. It certainly looked like an official Google product. It had the Google logo and the box was shrink wrapped. If it’s a knock off, they certainly did a good job.So I prepared to plug it in. I got the family and pets safely out of the house. I pulled out the fire extinguisher. I pre-dialed the digits 9-1-1 on my other phone. I put on my safety goggles. I was ready. There are certain decisions in life with consequences that could affect you for the rest of your life. The significance of the moment wasn’t lost on me. I started to question my judgment. But the decision had already been made. It was made when I pressed the seductive “Place your order” button. There was no turning back.I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and started the motion of plugging the cord into the wall. My arm was shaking.I don’t know how much time had passed. It felt like an eternity. But eventually, I heard the reassuring little beep that the Pixel makes when it starts charging. I opened my eyes. The phone had not exploded. The house did not catch on fire. For the next hour or so the battery slowly charged up to 100%. I could hear soft angelic music in the distance. The charger seems to be an official Google product and not a knock-off. It looks and works exactly like the charger that came with my Pixel. The cord fits perfectly into the phone; it’s not too snug and not too tight. And it didn’t destroy my phone. It’s a wonderful life. There are a variety of companies selling this product. I chose Amazon rather than a 3rd party even though the price was $1.57 higher. I’m not saying that the other companies are bad, but I didn’t have any problems when I selected Amazon as the seller.

Looks and charges just like original Pixel charger cable
Works wonderfully with my Pixel. (Dare I say, just as well as its original charging cable, which finally wore out after a couple of years.). This one looks exactly like the original, and after a couple of months of use, I still haven't run into any issues of slow charging. The only difference I notice is that this cable is a bit more rigid and not as flexible as the original; however, the flexibility of my older cable might just be due to its age. No complaints!

Filter the options
Previous reviews have helped me get a hint about this product and since there are a lot of vendors out there that sell (supposedly) the same thing, you may want to think a little before purchasing. As I was saying, by reading some previous reviews (I don't remember the user name, but thanks for your review!), I decided to go with the one sold by Amazon, which was almost 3 times more expensive that the vast majority, but it totally worth it! Looks like it's a genuine Google one, from Google Canada :) That being said, maybe there are some other vendors that sell the real deal...On the other hand, don't be fooled by this 'genuine' marketing crap...it's still Made in China (like 90% of the electronics out there) and doesn't make much of an impression, material quality wise (maybe it will prove to be good on the long term, who knows..). I'm saying that because even the one that came in the same box with my Pixel 3 (bought from Australia), has the same origin. What you should be really interested in are the specs of the product itself, to be compatible with what Google recommends for the Pixel 3 (voltage, amperage and max electrical power). Everything else it's just marketing stuff...

Not official Google charger, but it works
Bought from Supreme Sellers. This isn't the official Google charger, it's a knockoff. I feel misled from the product description. It works though, and is definitely cheaper than the official charger. I've had no issues charging my phone, and my old charger stopped working.
