Easy installation.i did it alone..looks awesome, classy. This gate is very sturdy, great for the top of my exterior stairs. It opens very easily. It swings open fully if needed and in both directions. I'm surprised that it was cheaper then the ones that are not very sturdy. Great value. I love it in black it just kinda blends in with the deck, it adds appeal instead of standing out. No bottom bar to trip over and is really easy to open and close. I highly recommend this Babelio gate...

I will say that the installation on this is not trivial. It has an odd shape that makes labeling between two walls easy to mess up. And if you're putting it between walls, you may not have a stud which the instructions say you just have. In spite of that it comes with drywall anchors that I didn't trust. So I used some flip-toggle anchors instead that could handle a lot of weight.So I don't love the install kit but still 5 stars because the gate itself is great. It takes almost no space and stays open. The open floor on the bottom is everything. And so far, it seems super sturdy.

I love the self closing feature, it makes safe since it assist on keeping the door close.Easy to install, sturdy. My 3y old could not bent or break, and he is good on those.Price is very good for the money.

We use this gate at the top of our stairs as a baby gate, and I really like that it opens both ways and will stay open if at 90*, but close automatically, if less than 90*. It also doesn't have a bar on the ground, which is great for vacuuming and avoiding a trip hazard. The gate looks great and functions well!I installed it myself, and the only part I found tricky was lining up the latches. Customer service reached out to me soon after I ordered to ensure I had a link to an install video and customer service contact info, should I need it. Just take your time with the install, and it should go well. I do wish they didn't put bright orange warning stickers all over it. We're using these gates for pets, not children, so I didn't bother to install the bottom of the two latch receivers/brackets. This makes installation easier and faster, and when you use the gate, you don't have to life it - you can just pull back on the latch and it swings open. If you have children you'll want both brackets for safety.This is a nice product at a good price. I like that its width is adjustable without installing "expansion" sections - you just slide it to width and four set-screws make that permanent. (Plastic connectors between expansion sections broke on our old gate, which is why we bought these.) I also like that it has a self-close feature, but if you open it all the way, it has a recess in the hinge that holds it open. That's nice.The only thing I don't like so far is the latch is RIGHT against the edge of the gate, where it latches to the wall. If you have big fingers it can be a little awkward activating it - other gates have a button or latch an inch or so from the edge, which is easier to operate. A minor detail but worth noting.
