This is fantastic. I have these window that has these glass pans. It’s a really old style and I have to remove a couple of the glass pans (LOUVER WINDOW) and then what I did is I just put on the Velcro, but I didn’t use the Velcro that came in the package I decided to buy the original Velcro brand VELCRO Brand Extreme Outdoor Double Sided Mounting Tape | Holds up to 15 Pounds on Brick or Other Rough Surfaces | UV and Weather Resistant | 14Ft Heavy Duty Roll I also bought weatherstrip where the tube goes into the air conditioning machine I bought this which helps seal it so no air leaks out. It’s really great. Kikerike Self Adhesive Foam Tape Weatherstrip 1/2in x 1/4in x 42Ft High Density Foam Insulation Strips Foam Seal Weather Stripping with Strong Adhesive for Door and Window Sound Isolation Soundproofing It was very easy to put on the window and it was very self-explanatory how to use it although there were instructions inside the package, which is nice. In previous years, I was just taping plastic bags to cover the hole but this year I decided to do it the right way ha ha. This is fantastic. I think it looks good and it’s easy to remove because it has the Velcro.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: This was actually very easy to install and it is amazing how well the material blocks out the heat. I wish I had gotten this a long time back. Way better then the two plastic pieces that came with mine. Velcros is super affordable to replace if I had to as well. Worked with a 2 Hose A/C unit. The holes were pretty large so I would imagine it would work with most portable units.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: It works great. I’m using it right now. I will suggest you not try using it with a sliding glass door though, if that’s your goal. There isn’t much in terms of insulation, so one star removed, but otherwise a great product

I just installed this in my slider door for my portable ac. It’s a little short but I filled in that space. This system so far is so much better than the plastic one I bought that cracked when I was putting it together and was very heavy and not so visual pleasing. This blends right in not like some rubs Goldberg production it was easy setting up and it will be easy coming down when I want to open the slider. Perfect no BUT almost perfect is great! I would recommend this product for its design and simplicity. I didn’t drop a single f bimb installing it in 80 degree very humid day msybev12 minutes tops to install :-) I’m very happyv

The Velcro adhesive leaves a lot to be desired. With just the weight of the vent hose, it pulled the Velcro completely off the window. The Velcro stayed stuck to itself, so it was the adhesive that failed. I used green painters tape to seal the edges and reinforce the hold. If you've ever used painters tape, you know the adhesive isn't strong on purpose, and using the painters tape seemed to hold everything in place. Other than the adhesive issue, the design of the product is effective in its simplicity. I was surprised how well the shock cord and Velcro strap held the vent hose in the socket. There was no problem with the hose slipping out. The product was only used for about 3 weeks, but it held up perfectly; I would say the price for what you get is ok. It's not for a long-term use, but we needed something right now and just for a little while.

Seriously, this thing is awesome. I put it up a couple of weeks ago, and it's still holding up great, and it was super easy to install. It really does help block the heat, and it works well with the vent hose. It's pretty tough, and it's the perfect size for my window. My window was a little wider, but all you gotta do is center it and stick it to the side of the window, and that's it, you're all set.

If you purchased this, get ready to be Super HOT during this summer's heatwave AND out of $20. I thought that I was covered when I purchased this window vent for my Air Conditioner. By the end of day 2, it was peeling off of the window. Since then I've had to try and re-stick it back onto the window manually at least 10 times a day. I give up now because it's not sticking at all no matter how much I manually try to do it. So currently, I have to find sometime else entirely to replace this TODAY because it's the start of this week's dangerous heatwave. Yes, the area was wiped clean before the installation as suggested. Purchase at your own risk.

This is sooooo much better than the metal kind. I have struggled putting the metal ones in and they always came loose and I was constantly using duct tape on them. This seals well and I have not had to do anything to keep it in place. I bought it last summer too and when I removed it rather than taking the time to peel off the tape, etc., I decided at that price I would just toss it and get new this year which is what I did.

Does not stick to window frame long enough.. after 2 weeks starts coming off.. hose is not secured properly..

Easy to install and effective. Just watch as the glue on the velcro may need to be pushed harder to set.
