Great brake pads. Very Reliable!
I have used these type of brake pads for the last five years. Very durable, reliable quiet and consistent. Important, avoid any oil or lubricant contamination because it will damage the pads and even the disk rotors.

Fixed mega-chatter during winter fatbiking! :)
Had swapped a Deore XT front brake around on a few bikes. Ended up on my fatbike. Super chattery during winter conditions (<30F, snow). Almost unrideable. So noisy as to distract other riders.Found that metal pads were installed. A few forum references supported the idea that resin pads would work better. And they did. No problems at all. Plenty of braking power for winter fatbiking, and better modulation.Highly recommended.

Descend with confidence.
This is my second set. They lasted me about 7,000 miles. They installed very easily in about 2 minutes. These are my favorite disc brake pads. I’m not sure if it’s the Ice Tech Discs or the Pads but they’ve never squealed like some other brands. I feel confident when descending steep grades on hot days. A bit pricey but well worth it.

Mixed feelings on the fins.
I have used these for several years. The first 2 pairs (F&R) performed well and so I replaced them with another 2 pairs. The front set this go around started to squeal horribly after about 6 months of regular riding. I gently sanded the pads as there was ~75% pad remaining. Unfortunately, noise grew even louder. Scrapped that pair all together. Additionally, the material which makes up the fins and heat sink feels like a composite or plastic material and probably not an effective conductor of heat. Oh well, at least everyone will know how cool I am because I need vented brakes on my bicycle. Overall, can't knock 'em too much because they do perform very well otherwise and the resin-based pads have a very smooth and controllable experience. They make these same pads without the fins and they probably work just as well.

F01A Replacement
For those looking to replace Shimano's old F01A Ice Tech Resin Finned brake pads, you have come to the right place. I ran the F01As in my SLX hydros for two full seasons and loved them, especially paired with a sick Ice Tech rotor. These dropped right in to my caliper and have slightly bigger cooling fins than the old design.I ride mostly New England single track, and about five full DH days per season. I go through about a set of pads per season.I like the resin pads cause they're quiet, provide great stopping power and modulation , and are easy on the rotors. I have my original Ice Tech rotor and I've been through two sets of pads with it. The rotor still looks and works like new.I can say, that the cooling fins make a difference especially on the DH days. My buddys are getting brake fade by the bottom and mine are doing fine.

Perfect
Great fit. Great performance. These are the real deal. Good price and really convenient to have them delivered to my house without having to go down to the bike shop. By the way, it is SUPER easy to change out these brake pads. Just make sure you are getting the right size for your brakes.

Quiet. Very good modulation.
These resin pads are quiet compared to the metal sintered pads that came with my bike. One thing that I found interesting is that both the pads and the spring between them have a left and right orientation. I expect that for the pads to ensure that the fins on the integrated heat sink get appropriate airflow. I didn't expect it on the spring. I don't know if it makes any difference or not (I suspect not) but I didn't discover that the spring had a right/left side until I was installing the front pads after installing the rear. So that caused me to go uninstall/reinstall the rear just to make sure that the spring had the correct orientation per its markings. Again - I don't know if it makes any performance/wear difference and I doubt that it makes any performance/wear difference, but I didn't want to take the chance.

The stop great, but they are really loud under heavy loud
The stop great, but they are really loud under heavy loud. I scared the snot out of a group of hikers while on a steep technical descent the other day. you should have seen them scram! As I passed I apologized and one joked, "Dude, I thought you were honking at me that was so loud." So, I gotta dock points on these from a trail karma perspective. I have an order in through another for some resin pads so that I can compare performance.

Shimano halt...
Original ist immer am besten auch wenn sie etwas teurer als die nachbauten sind. Alles super

fantastiche, asciutto o bagnato rendimento garantito.

Very good quality and very well priced
Upgraded the standard Shimano SLX resin pads which were very good but these J02A resin pads now complete the new Shimano ice discs and are noise free with a noticable and improved stopping power. Very pleased with purchase
