I have a high thick backboard on my bed and it will not accommodate clip style reading lights. This sits on top of the backboard with a nice metal plate going down the back for stability. I added some double sided tape on the top of the backboard to keep it anchored in one spot in case someone bumped the bed. Light adjustment switch hangs down along side the backboard at just the right length before the wire goes to the plug. Lots of light to make for perfect reading. Works very well for me!

Hands down one of the best finds. These are amazing. Aesthetically pleasing, easy to “install” (if you can consider turning two screws installing), perfect for my husband and I to read with proper lighting and not bothering the other. Finish is really pretty and it feels solid.

The media could not be loaded. These were SUPER simple to put together and install, and the dimmer dial and adjustable neck offer a ton of control for your reading experience. Plus they came with the bulbs!I think they’re improperly balanced though, and the backer plate doesn’t quite counter-balance the head and neck the way it needs to. I ended up velcroing the lamps down to ensure they stayed put.I also think these are WAY bigger than the product photos make them seem. The head is about the size of my palm! I thought they were going to be dainty but they’re quite substantial.Something about the gold looks a little “cheap” in real life compared to photos as well. They don’t look bad by any means, just surprised me when I opened the boxFinally, I was grateful that there was some foam in the box that could be used to protect between the wall and the backer plate. There’s a little sticky foam strip in there, but I used the bigger foam block as that filled my space better. I don’t think the bigger foam block was intended for this, I think it was just in there to protect the lamps in transit, so it’s not adhesive; I had to use more Velcro for that to stick the bigger foam block to the backer plate.Overall these are nice, work as intended, and I do think they elevate our space and make the room feel like we’re tucking in for a hotel getaway every night

I love this thing! more than I thought I would actually.. it can be dimmed so it's not an 'in your face' or 'on your page' brightness. very easy to mount on the headboard. the gooseneck adjustment is awesome.. what's not to like?! highly recommend!

The design concept is good - the manufacturer and choice of materials is weak. The base of the light is very soft rubber and impossible to get to stick and stay put (I used most expensive 3M tape for holding heavy objects but alas... not good. LIght beam are unstable (vascilates in intensity), and cord is mounted facing out (hard to position to headboard. Would not purchase again.

I don’t have room for side table so this was perfect to put over side of bed frame- easy to adjust, nice light, really nice quality.

This is the second one we’ve purchased. Love the dimmable feature Brass finish is perfect with our brass bed

This is a gem in form, fit, and function. A true find in an era of cheaper plastic housings on this variety of lamps— this is metal! The dimmer dial works excellently to set the light level; I can aim it where I need it; the body and neck are out of the way, but the light is spot on. Some others commented about the location of the on/off (dimmer) dial. Still, it is perfectly positioned, right in reach as I sit up, supported by pillows and reading with good posture. Would buy again, hands down.
