Laval Ultra Lash Mascara - Black

this item arrived at the time as it was expected to. It arrived in a padded envelope and i think it should have been packaged more professionally but other than that, nothing was damaged. The tube is about the size of a large mascara bottle which is fine with me and the material of the bottle is secure and shatterproof. When you open it, the design of the tube allows it to scrape off the excess product so its easy to use and it won't make a mess. It is good for taming hair that stick out on your head and keeps your brows in shape. It can be also used to keep lashes curly for longer after curling it and it protects your lashes as well as that. The product doesn't have an overwhelming chemical smell and the texture isn't sticky, just a soft gel/jelly feel. It doesn't feel heavy on the lashes either. Over time air bubbles will start forming which will make it cloudy but that doesn't affect the use of it. I would recommend this to people but this is not the exact same as mascara.

It's a nice enough clear mascara - it will make your lashes seem a slight bit more vibrant and eyecatching and give your eyes a bit more shine without risk of clumping up or looking too dark. Great for delicate, demure looks to add that finishing touch. However, like all clear mascara, it's really only noticeable at all very close up. As in people standing like 4 feet away will not be able to tell a difference in your appearance whatsoever. But for close and intimate, it can make your eyes stand out just a tiny bit more (the effect is VERY subtle, but noticeable and worthwhile!) and give you just that extra hint of cute. This isn't mascara for wearing red heels and blood-shade lipstick with. This is mascara for wearing flowy sundresses and giving puppydog-eyes to your loved one/s.

Works well and a good colour for my pale complexion.

I find the light blue Ultra Lash mascara from Lavall a vibrant blue - rather than a 'light blue' as advertised. It shows up neon blue which is striking. It generously coats but I will fix this with make up finishing spray because I don't think there will be much staying power. I have naturally fair eyelashes. My sensitive eyes wear this well.Please see my accompanying 2 x photos.(I have teamed this mascara together with the 107 deep sea blue kohl pencil from L'oreal).

It's OK. It isn't waterproof but then I don't like waterproof so that's fine and for a non water proof it doesn't smudge much which is good. It's wearable and most maskaras I buy aren't, they all go lumpy and unnatural looking so that's another positive, it's a nice colour and it's hard to find a proper brown for some reason. However the effect is limited, kind of the effect you get from a coloured eyelash conditioner rather than a maskara and the brush is odd, it's huge so the maskara can not be applied very easily or in the normal way. For the money it's good I guess.
