Fast and effective
This has always been my favorite style of battery terminal cleaners. It's simple, fits in most spaces (even in the trunk slots and under seat placements) and when well made are very easy to use and fast. This pair of terminal brushes click all the boxes. They are well made and inexpensive. They fit on both the anode and cathode of the battery tightly and only take a few turns to have perfectly clean and fresh terminals. They also are very ergonomic. If it's time for you to change out your battery or the terminals are looking a bit questionable, grab these and get them cleaned up.

Not totally corrosion resistant
This tool takes me back to the days when I was young and struggling to keep my junker car running. This is a basic tool used to clean battery terminals and battery cable terminations to remove/reduce acid corrosion. Corrosion on batteries and associated cables is a major reason why makes cars will sometimes not start. Cleaning the posts and cable terminals can make a major difference in getting a stalled car to start. This is a nice tool, and it is galvanized to help retard corrosion. Galvanization involves plating the metal with lead. If you want to get some added life out of a tool such as this, when you're done using it, clean it with baking soda and water. This will neutralize battery acid that has come in contact with the tool.A better implement of this nature would be made of stainless steel, which would be less corrosive to acid. However, it would cost a lot more money. In a perfect world you could get stainless steel equipment for the price of ordinary steel. This battery post terminal cleaning brush works and does it's job well. It will probably last long beyond my lifetime and perhaps one of my grandchildren will inherit it.Because it is a simply basic tool with nothing extraordinary about it, I give it an average rating of 3 stars.

Perfect to keep in my car.
I got this to put in my car, in a kit I'm making, with things that might be needed for repair work on a car. This is perfect, the set fits in a large container I have that I am putting all the tools and cleaning equipment needed to maintain a car. Great price.

Corrosian Fighting Tool
The battery posts on all lead acid batteries will at some point begin to corrode. This tool helps to treat that corrosion. The tool consists of two parts, one to clean the interior of the battery cable connectors, and the other to clean the posts themselves. These work well and cut through the corrosion to assure a solid connection between post and cable. I like that two of the cleaning brush assemblies are included, one for the car and the other for the garage. This is a simple and easy to use tool, with no assembly required.

The best and easiest way to clean battery terminals
You get two at a cheap price. Wire brushes don’t last forever so it’s good to have an extra when you need it. There’s nothing special about these but that’s OK, they will do what they’re made to do. Unless you work in a garage, you’ll use this once every 3-4 years, but you’ll be glad you had it. It’s a nasty and difficult job to clean battery terminals without this tool. Get them.
