Yes to this!!!! 👍 Fae, yes! Cursed prince, yes!
I loved the pacing! The journey was an adventure and the characters were all interesting. I didn't quite know how book 1 would leave me feeling. I'm happy to say, I feel satisfied and ready for more 💖 I'm always dubious going into to a series, but this 1 is a yes for me! I don't vibe with most fae stories, but I am ready for more Kalyll & Dani!😃

entertaining read
It was a fun read all in all. Very few errors were found. I will say, the author likes the word “huffed” a lot and should possibly consider alternative words once in a while. Then, despite the character being a little… entitled? Dramatic? A bit annoying and immature? I did like the over all story as it unfolded.I do think this is probably geared more toward a younger audience, so perhaps my outlook on the MFC is a bit harsh, as her behavior fits someone… quite young, even if she’s a college graduate and such. So yes, she was a bit annoying. Considering the MFC likes to say she isn’t normally angry, and often makes the best out of situations, about half the book was her being angry and rather pouty and childish. Thankfully, after failed attempts at getting away, she finally got a bit better. Now, in my opinion, this isn’t necessarily a typical enemies to lovers as the enemies part doesn’t last terribly long. I do like the slow burn that builds up quite a bit. And I do like that the MFC isn’t always some helpless damsel. She has some value in this world. So… All in all, I found the story entertaining and I will definitely read book 2.

A twisting tale
I can say that there were a lot of things that happened in this book that I didn't expect. I had expected certain things only to have something completely different happen. I like that there is a mixture between the human realm and the fae realms. It made the reading more interesting. The only thing that was hard to believe is that Toni who lived with modern convinces would find it so easy to adapt to the roughing that she had to do while traveling with the prince. I didn't see the matching story lines to other popular novels as has been suggested and that is probably because I have read all of them and can say they are different stories.

What a series….
I can say I went into this series with high hopes and was sorely let down :( The reviews don’t help a whole lot so I will make my list of pros and cons concerning this series, starting off with the best stuff first (which isn’t a lot😬)PROS (possible spoilers!!!)-This book starts off very strong! The MFC is very head strong, stubborn, yet selfless when it comes to her abilities to heal!-Dani is SO passionate about her work, it’s very easy to love her whole character because she is without a doubt a love not a fighter.-The group of friends with Dani and Kalyll are very close knit! They share lots of banter and at some points feel like a real life-long group of friends-kalyll is such a sweetheart from the get go, yet he’s so mysterious which keeps readers engagedNow for the stuff I didn’t care for..where to beginCONS (Spoilers!!!!)-The buildups were just not there… in book one when they fought in the cave and Kalyll almost dies, did nothing for me. The second book when Dani dies, did nothing for me. They all fell flat-STEAMY SCENES FELT AWKWARD!! maybe I’m just weird but there was no creativity or explanatory metaphors when ANY steamy scenes. I also felt almost all of them felt super rushed, none felt they flowed naturally-the connection between the MFC and MMC felt forced. Dani hated him then after Kalyll was nice a few times she was head of heels???-This is a very juvenile type of writing. A reading level of at least 8th-9th grade…so nothing about the writing is fantastic.-The writing style itself is very childish as well, the dialogue between characters sometimes seem odd or very dumbed down ( this is just a pet peeve of mine, I prefer a more mature style of writing)-The story is just okay, not much world building or character growth at all! And yes ik the story of fae and humans tends to reuses terms throughout all stories (unseelie and seelie fae, etc). However, this gives authors a wide berth to create really grounded characters and plot! This does not happen in this series-All the characters remain at a very base level, we never get to delve into them or feel a connection. Personally I even struggled connected with the MFC and MMC-like I said before, NO growth between almost anyone. Kalyll was the only one I noticed and that was because he now has two personalities he had to coexist with, Dani stayed relatively the same-Also, can we talk about bad Dani? This might have been just me but I found it so hard to follow Dani’s thoughts when she had parts of the demon in her creating “bad dani” thoughts. I couldn’t connect with her intentions, I didn’t feel the pressure behind her “tough decisions” when normal Dani and bad Dani battled thoughtsOverall thoughts-This book is a light and fast read, that doesn’t require any effort to understand and won’t create much emotional attachment.✅hate to friend/lovers✅semi-love triangle✅forbidden love (prince and commoner)✅mates✅could be considered dark beauty and the beast retelling

A good start
This book is a slow burn, with 2/5 chili pepper sp!ce rating. It's another take on the beauty and the beast story. I enjoyed the story, it was a good pageturner. There's a human FMC with healing abilities, a morally grey fae prince MMC, other fae, monsters, found family, banter, enemies to lovers, a fantasy world and a little sp!ce. If you like that, you should definitely get this book.I am curious about the second book.

Excellent story that pulls you in. You can laugh and cry and everything inbetween with the characters. I loved the main fmc as she had grit but also could show her humanity. Read in a day could not put it down now for th3 n3xt one.

I‘m absolutely in love! 🧡
First of all I have to say that I‘m typically not really a fantasy reader but I saw some videos on TikTok about it and thought it was really interesting so I gave it a shot and don’t regret it at all! I’ve read it in one day started in the morning and finished at night because I could not stop! I loved every page and kinda didn’t want to continue reading because it would be over too fast lmao. Anyways a really beautiful Beauty and the Beast retelling and I will definitely buy the two other books of the series!! 🫶🏻Since the author announced that she will be changing the covers (which I don’t get because these are beautiful) I hope I still get them before they get changed so all three of them match. :)
