It's a story of persistence, self discovery, and overcoming obstacles.

An excellent tale about the appearance of a lone wolverine in the what is supposed to be "The Wolverine State", and one man's dedication - along with his triumphs, failures and tragedies - to understanding a mysterious beast. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

this book is worth grabbing. It is so well written and covers a really unusual topic. It is hard to put down. It is amazing how the story comes to life. The players, both animal and human are well worth getting to know. Great writing!

I found out many things about the great animal I didn't know before.. They are truley a magnificant animal.This author was truley dedicated to his work.

Jeff Ford's journey with this elusive, remarkable animal leaves nothing to be desired. He takes us on a fascinating journey over six enthralling years in the lifetime of not only this amazing animal, but his personal one as well. The dedication given to this quest is uncomparible to any common man's due to the love, compassion, and sacrifice made by Jeff Ford, even during the danger to his own health and welfare. The reader will not be able to put this book down until the conclusion. My interest in wolverines has been piqued to a degree that I would not have believed possible before this well-written and heart-wrenching book and I truly regret that this amazing animal seems to be extinct in our "Wolverine" state of Michigan. I cannot wait for the traveling display of Jeff's "pretty gal" so that I can see it "up close", especially after feeling that emotion during the reading of this book.
